very nice video, what are your specs? I used to own an 4agze also but no where as fast as yours. I mean you are playing catch up with a ZR1 that is amazing, also did you know if the zr1 had any after market parts under its belt?
The car had a KBD header on it and my own exhaust, WEB101 cams, Cusco pulley, some custom electronics (I am one of the guys that brought you "The Grunt Box"), and of course tons of suspension mods, also some custom parts there. This car put down 169rwhp in the configuration in this video, which is one of the highest I've seen on the stock SC.
It's interesting that the vette owner saw this video online and contacted me. Nice guy.
It was one of his first track days. Also, he commented that the GT3 Porsche we were catching at the end of the session was driven by a friend of his. His buddy was letting him catch up so they could have races down the straight, but the session ended too soon.
Not too surprising, it's hard to imagine a driver bad enough that I could catch them in my MR2 if they were in a GT3 and trying at all. :-)
I miss my '89SC now that it's back in storage 2 states away for the 6 months of winter. Just the sound brings back the memory of the fun summer months. Also, nice driving!
Nice ride but u cud have easily over took the vette in turns.

and I love my mr2.

you can definantly hit the corners better in an mr2 than in a vette, but that thing takes off once its out of those curves

I always thought the AW11 was a highly underrated performance platform: simple, light, great handling, reliable...what's not to love?

Poof good taste is a rare thing nowadays.
If I could find a clean, non-abused AW-11 with a 5-speed for $5k, I would be in perpetual bliss.
Though I understand finding some parts is very hard now...

Forgot to mention ... the car has one of the rare Cusco headers on it now. I need to make a trip to the dyno.
