@80slvr87 Laura's version wasn't good at all & her earlier 80's stuff isn't all that bad. She must have had an off day when she recorded the song & the album it's on. Kevin's version is much better. Ironically both artists were on the Atlantic label. Kevin's version got as high as #60 in 1989. Laura's reached #59 in 1990.

Back in the early-2000's a local mix station actually used to play this every once in awhile, which in retrospect is pretty unbelieavble since they usually stuck to modern crap or the more popular hits from the 80's and 90's ('Course, this is Northeast Ohio. Cleveland connection, you know). Anyway, AWESOME rarely heard song. The entire album this is off of is pretty good, too, but fairly rare (I've lucked out and come across the CD, LP and an autographed cassette, but again, Northeast Ohio).

is he back into performing or recording? last i heard he went into producing; saw him live with michael stanley back in the early 80's ; fantastic musician and singer
At last! I have been wanting to hear this song again for ages but its hard to come by! It reminds me of days when my mates and I would camp down at Dunsborough and Margaret River (South west Australia) between years 89 to 91. They would always play it on the radio.
The entire CD is incredible!! Very hard to find! Thanks for posting this.. I need to pull this disc out for a few more listens!!
