Totally agree...straight line speed is only part of it....Chassis, suspension, brakes, handling, grip....so many things to consider....show me an F40 and i will turn down any jap tuned 1000bhp+ skyline, Supra etc....

Ferrari...one of the best car manufacturers in the world, producing a car which at the time pretty much put F1 tech on the road..made a limited number and is considered widely as one of the most raw production cars ever made.....and you would take a sporty car with a huge turbo over the F40....crazy.

P.s i live close to a drag strip so have been to see many 1000+bhp jap cars.

Yeah, totally agree they are both Legends. I am strongly thinking about an R32..love the fact you can fit a switch which cuts the fuse to the center diff, letting you choose between rear or 4 wheel drive. But you never mentioned cost in your comment...you simply stated never taking an F40 over a 1000bhp jap car...that is ludacirs...but considering cost Vs. performance....yeah jap power and american V8 is the cheapest way to get bang for your buck. I'm all for it...just love the F40 since 9yr old

LcLaren F1 is not a street car, but Koenigsegg is. Mercedes SLR McLaren does 315 km/h. Koenigsegg with V max 390 km/h is still the fastest serial street car in the world.
