  • Did the bike have any input from Eric or is this another recycled hd plant

  • 1:08 The bike is so unbelievably beautiful while in motion. god i love erik buell's mass centralization both for performance and for looks.

  • I love seeing people ride on the streets of NY on crotch rockets trying to maneuver at low speeds to avoid pot holes while hunched over the entire bike in a racing position and the suspension in "stiff as nails sport mode". Its even funnier at red lights, trying to straighten out their poor spines. Meanwhile my Buell is super maneuverable at low speeds, has a comfortable sitting posture, has 4 inches of travel on the suspension, plenty of low end torque and good acceleration. Perfect urban bike

  • i'm from the US and very few people even over here understand a Buell. i'm on my 3rd one, have put a total of approx. 65,000 miles on 3 of them, all trouble-free miles, low maintenance, easy to maintain, just a great bike. too bad H-D pulled the plug on them

  • This bike was made for Numb-Nuts. (pun intended)

What's with the liter engine only producing the same amount of a 30 year old Honda 700cc engine?

  • @daedalx bike was going to be turbo'd from the factory but the deal fell through

  • "vibration" - you've obviously never had a supermoto!

It does shake like a shitting dog though ;)

  • I've never seen quite as big of an idiot as Mknauer. Honestly Eric Buell said in an interview he doesn't really care about BHP, because an idiot can build a bike with a ton of power. He did things to make it one of the best handling bikes on the market today. Look at Asian sport bikes for example, they are all damn near clones of each other.

  • Why are people on here arguing,People buy buells because they DO NOT want a sport bike. I bought it because I like the character of the engine. I like the small dimensions (I'm acutally a tall rider though) . I like the fact that I don't need a 2nd mortgage to insure it. Not to mention the deals you can get on them they are half the price of a 600ccSS. And have the people who are talking about them rode one? Even if you didnt like it you'd be able to see why some people would.

  • brakes not bricks

  • The more you write the more you put yourself to shame "dude." The only thing you wrote that make any sense is about Italian Bikes. See there are some brain cells left in your head after all. I have owned them all: Yamaha, Honda. Susucki. Pitty you suck.

  • hey buddy, u spelled suzuki wrong.. BUELL KICKS ASS. in frame fuel tank, lowest center of gravity, power throuh the whole tach. study up.

  • Your just brain dead. You have no Idea on what your talking about

  • @Mknauer50

Poor attempt? I belive Buell took the 2009 AMA Sportbike championship. Plus these bikes are basically maintenance free (no pesky valve adjustment or chain maintenance) Of course you could buy a jap bike that looks like everything else on the road or you could buy a bike with unique engineering and style

  • Blah, blah, blah Japanese bikes!!!

    Blah, blah,blah, ugly!!!!!

Blah, blah, blah I' wanna be like everyone else and too broke to buy a Buell!!!

Hey, If you can't ride a bronco don't set foot on a the rodeo cowboy!

  • I've owned many bikes and it all depends on your style. That is what it narrows down too in the end. What fits 'the rider' best? If belt drive isen't for you, do some work and chain it. Modifications are so easy to do....unless you're lazy.

  • Yeah, my point exactly.

  • I can't believe that Buell got shut down, They should shut HD down, for making the same crap they have been making for the last 50 years.

  • @seroyer2 Money talks. 'Nuff said.

  • @seroyer2 the guy is starting up again on his own

  • Comment removed

  • I prefer pizza tnx ;)

  • So does you wife.

  • any chance it can be restricted to 33bhp?

i like the vibrations at a standstill with this bike (no jokes please) it gives the bike character

  • lol

  • I love it when the bike vibrates so hard. Makes it manly :P.

  • live a very old vespa :p

  • Just think of the vibrations as a massage for the body and hope you dont drop it as most times deep scratches on the fuel or oil frame means its a write off.

  • Way to post a review for a now defunct brand.

  • +1 for wearing Kriega backpacks!!!! I love mine

  • vibrates as much as really old bikes, lack of appreciation for refinement

  • Good work James. Nice review.

  • I hate Buells...hate it with a passion.

  • why? because you don't know how to think outside the box?

  • Buell doesn't exist anymore.

  • My lawnmower has a better sound.

  • Great review, these 2 min intro's work for me!

  • You're from Portugal, just curious what do you guys build? Educate me, I reall don't know.Americans may not build the best bikes, but we'll ride the shit out whatever to win Championships. Best riders, biggest BALLS!

  • Assuming you meant to type "or" instead of "of", in that case have you heard of something called the Corvette? Which beats the crap out of 99 percent of sports cars and does it at a 3rd of the price. Personally I love all cars and bikes whether they are Italian, German, Japanese, or American...i just can't stand ignorant idiots like yourself who love to vomit your opinions to the public via keyoard...

  • Oh yes, I'm sure all you Americans are just being unpatriotic for not buying your own motorized refridgerators on wheels. It has nothing to do with the fact that your cars are rancid turds.

Right the Corvette.. high displacement, gets the mileage of a semi, no direct injection. leaf springs, latest technology; handles like a horse buggy. All the great sports car manufacturers use leaf springs.

Of course it's cheap. Have you any idea what good quality plastics feel like?

  • engine/gearbox doesnt seem bad.........they seemed awful

  • Right the Corvette. High displacement and gets 26/27 miles per gallon on the highway and still produces 500 HP. It does have a leaf spring(one) mounted transversly on a fully independant transaxle and it handle quite nicely thanks. I've heard it handles better than your Portugese sports cars.

  • Portuguese have sports cars? I'm not trying to be funny. Whats the company name?

  • They don't.

  • In that case...His statement is Priceless :)

  • His statement is pointless. I'm neither Portuguese, nor do I live in Portugal. :)

  • The car is called the Eurobrat 2000. It comes with a whinerglide transmission. The funny thing about these cars is that when you pull up next to an American V8, say at a traffic light , it pees coolant all over the ground. Very peculiar.

  • I commend you for your creativity, but "American V8" makes me chuckle uncontrollably.

  • you mean the v8 that is still very similar to henry fords 100 years ago? the valves are not overhead though but the cams still seem to be at the same place.

  • Vinci GT for example. It will begin to sell units next year. And i think it has a Corvette engine. :D

    Google it.

  • too bad you replied...made you look like an idiot...lol you gotta love it folks...

  • Internet superhero, ain't ya?

  • lol at the vibration

  • rubish bike

  • @strangletmuh just a rubbish engine. if it werent for that stupid harley davidson engine it would be fine.

  • buell hasn't used HD engines in a couple years
