This is a very high-brow spoof. A lot of kids will not know about British stuff like A Room with a View, Brief Encounter, The 39 Steps, or A Passage to India. But it is educational because many British works are very good to see and read about.
Doesn't the woman narrating sound a lot like Bernadette Peters? To me she does. I wonder who it was. Anyone know please comment back. VERY CLEVER SEGMENT!!! :)
Too many comedy shows could take a lesson from Sesame Street on how to make something funny without running it into the ground.... This was just perfect!

"Howard" makes a cameo appearance in the 3rd season of The Muppet Show.
I have to say I liked this when I was younger. If you meet a rattlesnake named Howard, you BETTER remember him!

I thought "Howard's End" ment "the death to Howard", not "Howard's rear end"?

@Minfire They're poking fun at that.

@Minfire 'Howard's End' was actually the name of a house/small country estate in which the story revolved around.

I think I remember this Monsterpiece Theatre skit when I was younger. The cookie Allistair Cookie eats at the end makes it familiar, haha.

You gotta love Alisair's sarcasm.

About my last comment. I mispelled something. You can get rid of that one and let me restate what I originally posted. I've always seen this.

A "Monsterpiece Theater" I've never seen before--thanks for posting! :)
