I hit the direct select and click the circle like you but it doesn't delete it just selects the 2 circles. If I hit delete it deletes them together. help?

@smartydix Agree with you. For non professional users they are invisible. You can design logos both in Photoshop & Illustrator. But there are some features/tools in Illustrator that help you design logos more efficient and productive.

@macgyver2210 This video is over 2 years old. If I remember correctly, it was before YouTube had HD videos. Check out our newest videos and you will see that the operating system has no effect on the image quality. It's the video settings.

@MsOrlandos It IS more difficult than Photoshop in some ways. Photoshop is more intuitive. The problem with making images in Photoshop, as the guy in this video is mentioning at the beginning of the video, is that those images are mostly designed to be viewed at one size. 1024x768px, for example. Vector images are entirely made of math, and can be enlarged infinitely without losing any quality. Great for graphic design, where you need the same picture to fit on a pen or a 30 foot wide billboard.

@MrAlexChiu I really love smart guide. It helps me quickly align objects. I don't believe that it's 100% correct, but it's great for quick alignment. I guess it's not for everyone.

@pfltuts there is a better precise way of doing it.... the align and scale at the top of the screen... i believe its called transform....just key in the numbers.... it will align perfectly if you use a value oppose to relying on the smart guide

JPEG is for millions of colors like a photo, but I don't think your logo has a million of colors so your should exported as a PNG file.

You know there is a drop shadow effect you can add to any objects, even text. Just select what you want to add the effect to, go to effect, stylize, then drop shadow. It can be edited anytime from the appearance palette.
