I have an old original one that was my uncles back in the 80's. It did not run when I got it. I found the kit about a year ago. Got the kit for christmas last year. I kept the original motor and a few of the original parts I didn't use. But the frame and suspension are all original. It is pretty quick. Thinkin about puttin the new frame and suspension together and put a brushless motor in it and see how well it holds up.

they were right about it being indestructable, mine sure is, compared to the team losi vehchiles it never breaks, although no tamiya from this time (frog,fox,hotshot, ect.) has ever had the handling of a team losi vehichle. also the hornets rear suspension is absolute crap. i cant stand the rear suspension i always end up flipping over damnit. although the front suspension is pretty nice for not being damped

my dad has one of the original models with with the red painted shell, and he was telling me about the power and the range of the areal and he taped a beer can to the roof of it and drove it down the street to his mates place and he was mowing his lawn, and he spotted it and turned the mower off and started to chase it :P i LOL'd

I had this car back in 1984 it was awesome! Recently ive bought the re-issued model and am very happy with it.

I hope Tamiya will also go on to re-release some other classics like the Super Sabre and the Hotshot Mk II. :-)
