Interesting, I use a lee classic loader because I like the personal building of the cartrage vs running a machine that makes it for me, However I could find a use for this!
With the lock rings that the dies have you don't have to figure out the die depth once you set them the first time so you really don't need the collets for that. All you do is unscrew them using the lock ring and screw them back the next time, the only thing the collect buys you is a few seconds at most versus threading the dies in. Overall a very good video so thanks for posting and showing this outstanding product.

I started out with the hand press , still use it for some stuff . Then moved to the Challenger press . Now , I mostly use the Lee cast iron turret press . I have read about the breech-lock / lock-in-load presses . I can not figure out the advantage over just setting the die debth with the lock rings ? Not trying to rain on any ons parade , but it has not sunk in for me ?
@WyrTwister I think you're talking about the lock rings with the rubber washers? In my experience you can use these to get pretty close, but I still find it takes a while to dial them in just right. The breech lock collets just snap in (I made it look a lot tougher to do in the video than it really is). I guess two lock rings might work face to face, but I wonder if if would back out during operation? Basically, I've found the breech lock function makes changeover a snap. Thanks for watching!
@GunsKnivesSurvival The lockrings that come on other dies would not have that problem . Personally , I like the Lee lock rings , but I am using them on the 4 hole Lee cast iron turret press .
@WyrTwister It's kind of like the old RONCO saying; "Set it and forget it". You place the die in the collet, set the dies where you want them, cinch down the lock ring and when you're done...pull the collet and die as one piece. When you go back, all you do is put the collet back in and the die is already set. Easy peasy swapaneezee!
@gunsknivessurvival Wicked video bud! Thanks for showing this hand press. I've read many an advertisement and never seen on in action. Looks exactly like my breech lock single stage! Did you charge with a measure or one of the dippers?
@1unaveragejoe Thank you! I actually charged with a powder measure on an old LEE Loadmaster. Other than charging and flaring cases, it's pretty much good as a boat anchor. I did get some footage of this, so I might post that later. Thanks for asking!
Hello, thank you for an amazing video . But I have some questions to ask because I am new to reloading and not really looking forward to spend whole lot of money on reloading so this one seems to be good one for me and I do not have space in my house to mount the reloading press.
So if I get this, what kind of dies do I need to get? I need to reload .30-06 and what kidn of dies from MidwayUSA should I buy? And what else stuffs? scales? rulers? what else do you thin kI need to relooad .30-06?
@whtkdtn1401 The box that this press comes in states it “loads largest magnum cartridges.” I like LEE dies as they are usually more affordable than the competition. If you get them from Midway, be sure to get the 3 die set, the one with the separate crimp die. I use the LEE perfect powder scale. You’ll likely want calipers as well. I’ve never reloaded rifle rounds yet, but I know you’ll need case lube for this.
@whtkdtn1401 I ran out of space. If you get the Breech Lock Hand press in the press kit version, it will come with lubricate, a funnel and the ram prime. You might want to pick up a case trimmer. Lee has cartridge-specific ones for very little cash, but you need to buy the cutter as well. There are tons of things you can get for reloading and I can’t think of them all. Lee dies will come with a powder dipper and shellholder too.
can this reload 45-70

This would be great to develop loads at the range. For the money you just can't beat Lee.

@henrycems I seriously doubt it, there's nothing to strike the primer as the shellholder is hollow on the bottom.
