  • I was 20 years old when this storm hit. It was a scary experience.

  • 6 days without power in columbus county. in a rural area, no power also means no water, because we had well water. we lost all of our pecan trees and a good portion of our roof.

  • my names francesca! lol

  • This is awesome. I can't believe you have this! I love how everything on TWC looks ancient compared to now. I remember this hurricane. I live in Robeson County and they turned the power off at 4 pm that day. We didn't get it back until 4 days later. We had a tree come through the roof. I'll never forget the rain and wind. Even though I was only in 6th grade, I still remember it like it was yesterday.

  • I liked the old TWC better, maybe just becuase it takes me back as a kid again..

  • Man...I remember Fran. I waited it out in New Hanover Co. Knocked down a tree in my yard, in fact. Thankfully, it missed the house and cars! I think I was about 7 or 8 when Bertha and Fran hit us.

  • i made it thru Fran, in Columbus Co. we lost alot of our roof, but we made it thru!

  • I was spared from this demon... thank heavens!
