The more time passes by, the more the word "family" means something else to me. While genetically your family shares the same traits, I think the real family is who you grew up with, and know, and has shown and reciprocated love (whether related or not). I feel like people, especially these days, want to build relationships for their own selfish agenda in the long run. It's a shame, but that's the world unfortunately.
Anyway, hope you wake up to happier days.
