In 1983 I had the pleasure of talking to Mary Reeves. I asked who influenced Jim's style of singing. I was modestly surprised when Mary replied "Vic Damone". I thought for sure Mary would reply "Gene Autry" OR perhaps "Mills Brothers". By the way; I have posted a brief dialogue of my conversation with Mary Reeves in 1983. Personally; I love every song Jim ever recorded. This song reminds me of my relationship with my Father. Thank God, we made Amends before his passing in 1979. By the way; last week (March 2011) I was watching an old Gene Autry movie (1939 - I believe) and there was Gene Autry singing "Silver Haired Daddy". For those of you whom can not watch old cowboy movies; Jim recorded Oodles of songs Gene Autry sang. THANK YOU FOR POSTING ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL JIM REEVES SONG..

I am so pleased to see this video back Bill. After all your kindness I in making this tribute to my Dear Dawn I thought you had had to take it down due to copyright. So thanks again for this wonderful video which I still cannot view without tears in my eyes and joy in my heart.

Hello, Made and uploaded for Dear friemd who lost his daughter dawn and was pleased I was sad when it was take off in error. Keep safe Polly.
