i wonder if heaven is modern. like, is it castle and stuff like back in the day. i wanna ride my longboard in heaven. but if not, i dont are. i'll still praise god.
@DropedBeats Call out to God, beg him for mercy and he will save you. Beg God to give you a hatred of sin that leads to repentance. There is nothing you can do to earn salvation apart from the will of God. So call out to him, beg him for a changed heart.

by the way, I need to give you guys Mark and Marcus, props for standing up for your faith. You reminded me what it felt like to hear God speak to me for the first time again
The part with breaking one law being equivalent to all laws is easy for me... If you can steal, you can lie... After all: You have to lie to steal... and the Commandments also say 'thou shalt not covet' in planning/thinking about stealing that item, you have to covet as well. So in doing one crime, you essentially commit 3... if you commit one sin, you're going to commit more.
God does not call everyone to do this but we are all called to be witnesses and to carry out the great commission. I've seen people that are quiet win people for Jesus and say nothing but their life spoke loudly. The Bible says to be ready to give an answer for the faith that lies within you. If you cant speak up for Jesus he said he will deny you to his Father. We pray that you will recieve power. Be bold for Jesus he died for you!
I am curious why ahiests spend so much time trying to argue about a God they claim not to believe in. Dan, in reality, we only need to use one commandmant to prove our guilt. Who cares how many soemone uses? The better question would be, how many have you kept?
i'm not even arguing about a supreme being right now.
i didn't realize this whole "open air preaching" thing was like a formula that some of you use to evangelize. i think it's a weird gimmick, which doesn't seem to work or do any actual good.
i'm just wondering what the true motivation is. because if you actually cared about people, you wouldn't be doing it like this.
This logic is flawed. You're saying one would be outraged if a judge let a murderer of the hook (which is true) but murder was only one sin. Not everything is equal to taking ones life away. If someone who ran a stop sign got the same sentence of a murderer, THEN there would be outrage.
You're right; it's not equal. If you've sinned even three times a day, over an average life (75 years) that is over 82,125 sins that you have to give an account for. Imagine if someone got that many parking tickets but refused to pay them. The judge would be fuming! If that's the case for a relatively minor parking ticket, how much more will God be angry over the sins you have committed against him?
I was talking about the quality of the crime, not the quanity. No one in their right mind would care if people tell little white lies or have sexual thoughts because it's so meaningless in the long run. Little mistakes people make are not the same as breaking the law. Frankly., I find the idea that we are doomed for not meeting an impossible standard to be absurd.
Someone didn't get enough love and attention from mum and da, I reckon.

i am curious as to why open air preachers only go through four of the ten commandments?
and also why you feel sensationalism is necessary for your cause?
danwoodsy 3 years ago
I don't know what you mean by us being sensationalist. However those four are the most common ones that all people have broken.

Dan, I have seen this work. Two Times while we have been preaching someone has cried in front of me and been brought to tears with repentance.
