  • Their death spiral is like no other. I noticed at both Skate Canada and at Ontario, CA. several of the pairs the men are now changing hands. I have told others that Ron changed hands and would turn around while doing that and no one believed me. I get goose bumps when ever I see it. Thank you for posting this video..

  • If i'm not mistaken, the Kaufmans invented the throw axel. They are a part of skaing history. I hope they are happy and in good health.

  • Thanks for posting this as well. Ron was my coach and a great person. I remember he had his Olympic yearbook from the 1968 Olympics in a cabinet at his house. I loved looking in it and seeing his old pictures. This is the first time I've seen his 'real' skating.

  • Gosh..how incredibly wonderful!! It's like running into an old high school friend!! I am actually crying!! thanks so much.....I was HOLDING my breath during the death spiral however!!!! lol What a wonderful double split twist, and nice to see all those old lifts!! it's like the USFSA rulebook come to life.....a most worthwhile post.....60's skating is so Groovey, baby!!!!
