From what I understand, GMTV only had 1 channel available, so Ben was offered the choice of singing to a backing track or lipsyncing. He chose the latter, and chose to mess about.

The band James did a similar thing when they were asked to lipsync on something or other, played each others instruments etc.

The drummer in this is actually a roadie - Ben's real drummer (Sam) is singing backup.

They are clearly playing the track with him while he's singing, any one notice that towards the very end he's not playing the piano yet the piano still plays....and he stops singing into the mic briefly and his voice still continues through the P.A. Just seeing if any one else noticed, haha, I love this song though
