The implication there, whether intentional or not, is that physical betrayal is somehow more significant than emotional betrayal, that only if emotional betrayal becomes physical does it matter. While you may not have meant to say that, it was implied in what you said and that's why I asked. The words "irrelevant, non-issue" etc. were mine, not yours.
@samtelvis Can we agree that Christian was equally wronged by Olli in their relationship and that the reason for their divorce doesn't lie exclusively between Jessica's legs? Christian needs to find some other means of venting his frustration besides comfort sex and boxing. Olli needs to accept that ignoring Christian's wishes and going behind his back belittles him and is as painful and difficult to cope with as it says that your partner does not consider you as an equal.
@Taaurrus I totally agree. The fact that Oliver has ended his relationship with Christian is completely understandable. There can be no excuse for cheating, whether that cheating takes the form of making out, or having sex. When emotional cheating becomes physical, you've betrayed your partner physically. You promised to be sexually exclusive to your partner, so when you betray the person who lives peacefully next to you, there can be no excuse.
@samtelvis Are you really saying that emotional cheating is irrelevant, a non-issue, somehow less painful and damaging than physical cheating? That the only thing that matters in a relationship is the physical and emotional commitment to one another is of less importance? That to betray your partner emotionally is somehow acceptable whereas physical betrayal is absolutely taboo? That is an interesting world view, one which I can only be thankful not everyone shares.
I'm not satisfied that Chris has taken full responsibility for his affairs. Of course, in any long term relationship there are very hurtful things that both parties visit upon the other, but sexually betraying your partner is in a category on its own. This is in the same category as physical abuse, abandonment, maiming, harming, seriously neglecting one's partner. When you're trusting someone sexually, you're trusting them physically. What if Jess had AIDs C could be intro. that into O's body.
Something like this happened to me :( but i was in rafiels spot. This guy like me but he told me from the beginning that he still loved his ex. He ended up getting back with her. I hurt me but in this case I wouldn't mind it. I would feel for rafiel thought if it happens cause I know that it hurts
@tina30stm I feel your pain, and actually, I like Rafael, but in truth, he is not for Olli. I relate to you and I relate to Rafael, and I've been through the pain myself, I also had to realise in time, that I was not his. The problem is, the longer this triangle continues, the harder it will be for Rafael to let go. And in that I see another drama developing.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Rafael was meeting that guy because the guy wanted to hire him to be a dog-walker. Maybe that is why a point was made to introduce the dog.
and to everyone who thinks this has dragged on too long and just want them back together already - I want that back together already too; but this is nothing. German soaps have NOTHING on American soaps when it comes to dragging storylines out! An American soap could drag this break up on for YEARS.
@Taaurrus - also, if they are going to insist on dragging this break up on, and on, and on, and on - they could at least make it interesting and have Christian get together with another GUY. Having him get drunk and turn to a girl or break up with Olli and turn to a girl or try to make Olli jealous and turn to a girl - or all three - is getting tired and boring. Set him up with a guy this time!
@Taaurrus This is the show's fatal flaw VL never shows Christian sexually attracted to another man. It is so unrealistic that such a beautiful man as Christian not have other men show they are interested in him. If Christian is supposed to be bisexual or whatever doesn't that mean he's also attracted to other men too? I find it hard to believe the ONLY MAN that Christian could fall for is Oliver it doesn't make sense.Christian too attractive to not have other male love interests.

@JordanjamesX That's an unfounded accusation. Women easily make up most of Chrolli's fanbase. I think they've made it clear what they want, and it's not the boys with other women. That's actually a really good way to turn female viewers away.

Christian should just admit that the “gay fling” with Ollie simply hasn’t worked. He has never looked at another man and, conversely, he has never had any difficulty attracting women (before he met Ollie there had been Nico and Coco) . He should therefore find himself a nice girl, get married, have natural children and live happily ever after - without all of the drama he’s been subjected to this year. But VL is a soap opera - so I guess that happiness is not in the cards.

Definately Christian has had his BIG mistakes, but honestly, I think his the best couple that Olli can get. When they are separated they are just not well. What amazes me is that one of their main problems is communication. They have become the kings of misunderstanding. They have not done any of that.

I was going to say, before reading these comments already writen, that I am glad to see a bit of Christian's jealousy coming out. I believe that in this Jealousy, this relationship can be rescued, and I've been waiting for it for a long time. His unusual hold back manner of late has had me a bit nervy, and now, I see the Christian from Rob saga coming to the front. Let's see what happens.
Sorry to throw a spanner in the spokes here, but please, neither Christian or Olli are acting mature or reliable here, from before the breakup. Both have a lot of maturing and growing up to do, and both have to realise that they are meant only for each other.
This breakup started when Lilly was taken away, although it took a sleaze night by Christian for the seperation, but Olli's inablility to hear Christian out over children, there was the crack.
@BruceDBennett Actually I believe the first crack came during the whole Rob fiasco and Ollie's inability at the the time to see Rob was bad news and how he constantly chose Rob over Christian. It was apparent to me then that there was a lack of trust there. Then just like that Rob was gone all was forgiven and they moved on. They never talked about it or really resolved it at all,then the whole Lily thing happened and everything snowballed.
@shyathena34 On reflection, I do need to agree with you here. In the whole situation though, one cannot point fingers at either Christian or Oliver alone. Christian's reactions to Oliver's blindness to the situation(lack of trust), is as bad as what brought his need to react in that way. Both are insecure of the relationship, which is natural, that is why this is happening, to get them pass the insecurity and grow the relationship to a stronger level. I stand in both C & O's corners.
Divorce should be the best for them both so Olli can have another boyfriend/husband who is a pure gay with no sexual confusion like Christian. And Christian who's unsuitable for marriage due to his inmatured, infidelity personality, can hop into bed with any girls he wants.

I agree with you. I read through all the comments again. I wanted them back together, but now I am wondering about it. Yes, soap opera always have drama and this is drama. I too think that Christian could have a fling with another guy and see where it goes. Remember in the beginning of their relationship, Christian wasn't sure and fall in love with Olli. Yes, they agreed to be friends. Maybe it is time to move on. The writers need to get a guy for Christian as well.
I really hope that Rafael doesn't end up being a creep. That would just make it way too easy on everyone involved, and things are rarely that easy. I would like to see Christian and Olli choose each other above something worthwhile rather than just choosing each other because there's is no other substantial option.

I find it strange that Christian is so bothered about Ollie's relationship with Rafael and suddenly wants to divorce. Her carried on in Ollie's face without regret with Theresa. I guess he had no intention to divorce as long as he was the only one having an extra marital affair. Also, did Ollie even sleep with Rafael when they first met? I don't recall that happening but Christian was livid that Ollie found someone new. I want the boys together but Christian need to chill with the hypocrisy!

Christian and Theresa are not over because christian realized that he loves Ollie and wants to be with him. Theresa was insane! He had to leave her! I agree that Chrisitan probably never took her seriously but he wanted Ollie to think that he was serious about her and that is damaging enough. He can't be angry b/c of Ollie and Rafael...

I am about 90% sure that there realtionship isn't over. This is a soap, this always happens. Look at, let's say, Judith, she fell in love with Constetine (sorry for the spelling), yet dated a few other guys, he left, came back, and they fell in love again. Look at where they are now. Christian obviously still loves Olli, and Olli is having doubts dating Raphael. The writers will not break them up, they are way to popular to end, and to have their relationship end will drop the soap's ratings.(c)

The implication there, whether intentional or not, is that physical betrayal is somehow more significant than emotional betrayal, that only if emotional betrayal becomes physical does it matter. While you may not have meant to say that, it was implied in what you said and that's why I asked. The words "irrelevant, non-issue" etc. were mine, not yours.

Christian needs to find some other means of venting his frustration besides comfort sex and boxing. Olli needs to accept that ignoring Christian's wishes and going behind his back belittles him and is as painful and difficult to cope with as it says that your partner does not consider you as an equal.

There can be no excuse for cheating, whether that cheating takes the form of making out, or having sex. When emotional cheating becomes physical, you've betrayed your partner physically. You promised to be sexually exclusive to your partner, so when you betray the person who lives peacefully next to you, there can be no excuse.

I'm not satisfied that Chris has taken full responsibility for his affairs. Of course, in any long term relationship there are very hurtful things that both parties visit upon the other, but sexually betraying your partner is in a category on its own. This is in the same category as physical abuse, abandonment, maiming, harming, seriously neglecting one's partner. When you're trusting someone sexually, you're trusting them physically. What if Jess had AIDs C could be intro. that into O's body.

Christian should just admit that the “gay fling” with Ollie simply hasn’t worked. He has never looked at another man and, conversely, he has never had any difficulty attracting women (before he met Ollie there had been Nico and Coco) . He should therefore find himself a nice girl, get married, have natural children and live happily ever after - without all of the drama he’s been subjected to this year. But VL is a soap opera - so I guess that happiness is not in the cards.

What amazes me is that one of their main problems is communication. They have become the kings of misunderstanding. If we all remember, and I know we do, whenever they were giving advise to their friends, aka: Judith, Constantine ect. They would always say" give it time." Let them come to you." Talk it out". Sorry to throw a spanner in the spokes here, but please, neither Christian or Olli are acting mature or reliable here, from before the breakup. Both have a lot of maturing and growing up to do, and both have to realise that they are meant only for each other.
This breakup started when Lilly was taken away, although it took a sleaze night by Christian for the seperation, but Olli's inablility to hear Christian out over children, there was the crack.

It was apparent to me then that there was a lack of trust there. Then just like that Rob was gone all was forgiven and they moved on. They never talked about it or really resolved it at all,then the whole Lily thing happened and everything snowballed.

Christian's reactions to Oliver's blindness to the situation(lack of trust), is as bad as what brought his need to react in that way. The thing is, as long as Christian doesn't try to do anything to save the marriage and tells Olli the truth "I love you, I want to be with you" etc. Rafael will stay. Because while Christian has to deal with all his feelings by himself, Oliver distracts himself with Rafael. And he won't stop that until Christian gives him a propper sign...

Ok as much as I dislike Olli with Rafael. I kinda am enjoying the fact that Christian gets to feel what it was like for Olli, while he was sleeping with all those women. I know Olli is a very giving, trusting person, but he must not be in his right mind if he's letting Rafael have access to his card or move in.

Knowing VL, I've a feeling that Rafael's meeting with the guy walking the dog was completely innocent and that when Christian tells Olli, Christian will end up looking like a fool as there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for this meeting.
If this fling between Olli and Rafael is completely casual, then why on earth has he moved him in and giving him money? Money he's taken advantage of by spending a fortune. Look like Rafael is after a sugar daddy and an easy ride.

I find it strange that Christian is so bothered about Ollie's relationship with Rafael and suddenly wants to divorce. Her carried on in Ollie's face without regret with Theresa. I guess he had no intention to divorce as long as he was the only one having an extra marital affair. Also, did Ollie even sleep with Rafael when they first met? I don't recall that happening but Christian was livid that Ollie found someone new. I want the boys together but Christian need to chill with the hypocrisy!

@rksu747 Yes, he slept with Rafeal the first night in Ibiza. And Christian is bothered because he thinks Ollie really likes Rafeal. He knew he didn't like Teresa. He knew she was just a fling. It is always easier to understand your own motives and not the ones you love. I think if Christian ever cheated on Ollie with a guy, then Ollie should be concerned. I think in Christian's mind he was never truly in love before not like with Ollie

@azbreed Ollie was completely alarmed when Christian got with Theresa. His biggest fear is that Christian will leave him for a woman...and he did! Christian and Theresa are not over because christian realized that he loves Ollie and wants to be with him. Theresa was insane! He had to leave her! I agree that Chrisitan probably never took her seriously but he wanted Ollie to think that he was serious about her and that is damaging enough. He can't be angry b/c of Ollie and Rafael...

@rksu747 so girls are now just objects of desire not people to have a relationship with. So if he ever found another guy worth sleeping with, then it might actually be something that could turn in to something real. In Christian's mind anyway. Not that that in anyway excuses what he has done or that I agree with his thinking. I'm just saying in his mind it was just sex and not giving away his soul which he currently feels Ollie is doing.

@azbreed I am utterly confused by your opening comment! I never suggested girls are just objects of any sort and you will never know me to make such comments.! However, my point still stands, Christian flaunted in Ollie's face that he was moving on. He had no intention to divorce according to him but he was happy to give up on reconciliation efforts and move on with Theresa. What I am saying is, after his ongoing extra-marital affair, Christian is in no position to judge.

@Sjczz But Olli DOESN'T know that since Christian has messed up every opportunity he had to tell Olli that, including this last one where Olli wanted to postpone the divorce & asked Christian point blank what he wanted to tell him when he tried to stop him from going to Ibiza. Instead, Christian said they should complete the divorce for "clarity" & just try to be good friends. How stupid is that??

(c)Look at Luke and Noah from ATWT (although this is ten times better), they were still together even though they had trouble (correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't keep up with it). I still believe that Chrolli will make it and will probably get back together by the end of the year. Like I said, this is a soap, they need angst and hurt to keep ratings up.

I am about 90% sure that there realtionship isn't over. This is a soap, this always happens. Look at, let's say, Judith, she fell in love with Constetine (sorry for the spelling), yet dated a few other guys, he left, came back, and they fell in love again. Look at where they are now. Christian obviously still loves Olli, and Olli is having doubts dating Raphael. The writers will not break them up, they are way to popular to end, and to have their relationship end will drop the soap's ratings.(c)
