Fucking smart. The whole bolt carrier stays in place because of it's inertia, while the rest of the gun and the bolt face recoil backwards making it ride on the carrier until it unlocks free. The spring is compressed and pushes the bolt back.
@bf2lover42 hi again :P im here trying to figure out how shotguns work in general, because im done with understanding the m1911.. lets hope i can make it properly out of paper, anyways i was wondering if you can send me somesort of a download link to a file with big clear pictures of the parts of the m1911 and maybe the dimensions too.. that would be great because im having quite a hard time trying to figure out the required size and the exact shape of each part
@VicariousReality7 The thing going into the stock seems to be a a buffer tube of some sort containing a spring that forces the bolt forward to complete the action.
@VicariousReality7 technically the recoil pushes the body of the gun back, and the bolt body stays stationary. the movement of the bolt body inside the gun unlocks the bolt head and allows spring between the bolt head and bolt body (and residual chamber pressure) to cycle the action of the gun.
Nice animation , but it has a little not correct part. When the bolt carrier group moves back to unlock, extract, eject etc., the inertia spring is still compressed in this video...thats not correct!!! That's the inertia spring which depresses and moves the bolt carrier back...so as soon as bolt carrier starts moving backwards and unlocking the bolt, the inertia spring has already started to depress. Anyway thanks for animation !!!
MATTNATTMATT the cartridge is crimped closed when the cartridge is set off the bb's push the "crimp" out if you ever see a spent cartridge you can see the tip pattern where it used to be closed
Unfortunately I'm not much of a modeler. That gun was made from 2 models I bought off of Turbo Squid. I did model much of the internal parts, but that was fairly easy. A lot of basic shapes and extruded illustrator paths.
Yep. "HOW STUFF WORKS"

I wonder what makes these shotgun so expensive compare to many other equivalent?

farkasmate14 6 months ago
Why is there a... thing... going back into the stock?
That black toothbrush handle thing seems to have no purpose

Is this a Benelli Vinci?

@farkasmate14
No, the vinci disassembles into three parts and looks different

Oh! The recoil pushes the bolt body forward, rotating the head to unlock

Wait... the round pushes the bolt head back even though it has locking lugs?
