  • Did anyone see that pussy at 1:15?

  • huba244 - Haha. Your funny :P Beautifull vid. Child birth is so amazing.

  • thank you sooo much for sharing your birthing journey with us! I'm so glad I was able to watch your video and I'm excited to share it with others!. I am going to take "bradley method" classes this month. I'm due with my second in April. I plan on birthing at the birthing center/ Skagit Natural Family Medicine not too far from where I live.

  • I love this...even the family pets were present...my fav video

  • BEAUTIFULL BIRTH VIDEO

  • OMG! You are SOOOOO dramatic. I never had anyone at the hospital yell at me and tell me PUSH PUSH! The doctors and nurses were so kind and gentle and it was beautiful. It is too bad that hospitals couldn't put the video's of Mom's who gave birth at home, coming to emergency afterwards to repair rips and prolapsed uteruses.

  • You say natural childbirth does not have to be painfull??? Are you kidding me? Get real.

  • Great job, Mumma! What a beautiful way for Willow to start her life Earthside! Congratulations!

  • How did I end up over here ? O_o

    Anyways

    Omg she's so preety! (:

This video is so cute (':

  • In this modern age why do mothers have to give birth to their babies at home !?

  • I just loved your video! So peaceful and your information you gave was very helpful! After having one hospital birth and then a Bradley Method home birth there is nothing like the natural process of having a baby! Now expecting baby 3 I cant wait to do it again :)

  • i agree that is such a perfect birth and thank you so much for sharing this.. i wish i could have my birth like that but im to scared also beause i havnt got close ones to support me like that so il have my baby at hospital..

  • That's kinda inapropriate because her son sees her breast.

  • @thetammytube it's her husband

  • Cool how your Dad was there with you! I personally would have my Mum or my husband, but I understand everyone's got a different situation. Anyway I think it was totally awesome that your father was there helping you, and got to see his grand daughter into the world.

  • That was so amazing and so beautiful having your husband by your side... GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!! ;)

  • So you don't have to have a baby at the hospital?

  • LOVE this!! Congratulations! Thanks for all the education as well. I can't wait to have my homebirth once my husband and I conceive. :)

  • This is such a beautiful and informative video. I am planning to use the Bradley Method and this has really eased my comfort level. Thanks for sharing.

  • Willow's brother's reaction was so beautiful.

  • awesome video :) this makes me want to have another little one and to try this method :)

  • That little boy is pretty amazingly intuitive and sensitive! I love his comments!

  • There is a cat in there house

  • I love that they let their dog get close and see the baby <3

  • GO TO A HOSPITAL. THEY GIVE YOU LOTS OF DRUGS! PAIN FREE!!!

  • I'm almost teared up seeing how kind and gentle ur partner was throughout the entire birth! I can only imagine how much of a great dad he is to ur little ones :) u did such a great job! So calm and peaceful xxx

  • Beautiful video.. Very inspiring

  • lol 1:23 the cat im 13 and my aunty found that she was preganant when she was 9 weeks and it is now the 17th or the 18th week so im soo excited

  • Thankyou soo much for this video. I am due in 5 months and find this soo soooooo informative. I also dont agree with all of the interventions that the hospitals do, and would rather let it all happen naturally :-) I found the placenta and cord cutting the best bit of information as I have always thought that they hurry it all up with drugs and pull on it, etc, and it is not normal. Thanks heaps again :-) Oh, and beautiful daughter!!

  • In my opinion this is one of the best birth videos on YouTube :)

  • oh my god this is too sweet!

  • I can't find your Facebook page...

It's illegal in my state to have a home birth with a Midwife. Basically, your options are have baby in a hospital, have baby at home (unassisted), or travel out of state to have baby. Any midwife who assits in a birth out side of a hospital is subject to prosocution and is charged with a felony.

    It is devistating,.

  • I cant afford home birth a or any class:/ am very intrested in bradley method!

  • I wish I could have this kind of birth. I didn't have the money to do it though.

  • Wonderful! Beautiful video and loved the tips :)

  • Any woman who has a home birth is my hero, and you are definitely one of them- I think it's ahsma ehwne

  • Thank Yo so much for posting this. I am due to deliver any day now and have been preparing for a Homebirth for 9 Months but suddenly am feeling unprepared! This video helped a lot to reinforce what I have learned and feel better! Thank You so Much. What a beautiful perfect birth. Seriously, you make having a baby look as every day normal as going to the bathroom! What a pro! Great Job and Thank you for sharing, SO MUCH. Your son was so sweet, "Really!? She Had it!?" Precious!

  • 1:23 the cat is like wtf r u doing lol

  • This was absolutely beautiful to watch, the way nature intended childbirth to be.

Thank you for sharing this with us :)

  • I loved your video. I am 31 weeks pregnant and planning to go as natural as possiable. I cant afford a home birth so I hope my midwife will let me go as natural as possable

  • What a beautiful video ... thanks for sharing, I had tears in my eyes.

I did a waterbirth using HypnoBirthing and had an amazing experience too, but have only just realised there are so many similarities with all these different methods. If only more women realised and trusted in their bodies and the birth process.

Congratulations - Willow is gorgeous .. xo

  • @traceydornelles I agree! HypnoBirthing is a great source for learning relaxation techniques. I'm not sure how indept they go into learning the anatomy and practice for every situation that may occur so Moms and Dads will know in advance the procedure choices they have and natural options that most OB's are not aware of. I would Love to take a Hypnobirthing class to experance it 1st hand, I have only read the book and loved the CD's. Thanks for the compliment <3

  • not clamping the umbilical cord can cause the baby to bleed to death .i would not advise stalling this part after birth

  • @mylampisbright Thank you for your comment. I would have to ask what medical journals have you read that supports your claim that not clamping causes the newborn to hemerage? When the baby is born, the umbilical cord acts as a hose working with moms and baby's body to ensure proper blood portions in baby. It has been proven in the american journal of obstetrics & gyno that early cord clamping can with hold 1/3 of a babys needed blood volume. so no, baby wont "bleed out". (continued)

  • @mylampisbright your question is very important because not alot of people are told what is happening at this stage of birth. your concern of baby bleed outs stems from when people used to cut the umbilical cord without clamping, thats like cutting an artery (very damaging). to leave the cord intact and undamaged allows the baby to naturally transition from uterine life into ours. early cord clamping has more cons than pros (not in my opinion) in the Medical Findings of every Medical Journal.

  • @mylampisbright I hope more women can learn from this post, and not take my word or their Doctors words..I hope they take the time to research on their own so they will have the confidence to make a birthplan and make the birthing team accountable to follow their plan.

  • @ely1m - Taking time to cut the cord until after the placenta is delivered has more benefits to the baby than cutting immediately after birth. There have been numerous studies conducted and there is no definitive evidence to suggest that a newly born baby will hemorrhage if the cord is not cut. I do agree with you that it is important for each woman to discuss with her caregiver and make her own decision. Willow's birth was beautiful. You are so calm and in control - it was very inspiring.

  • @mylampisbright not clamping the umbilical cord will NOT cause the baby to bleed to death. The umbilical cord continues to supply oxygen to the baby until the lungs fully open up and all the heart shunts close. Many cultures never clamp or cut the cord, they allow it to fall off on its own.

  • @erikaskis Hi, I have wondered this about leaving them attached. Thanks heaps. Do they leave the baby attached to the cord and placenta until it falls off??

  • @mylampisbright This is not correct. The blood from a baby cannot "flow back" into the placenta. In fact, it's much more deadly to clamp the cord early, especially for premies who may rely on an intact cord to oxygenate their blood. PLEASE do research before making stupid comments.

  • @thesilvershoes one, we wernt talking about the delivery of premmies so dont change circumstances on which im commenting on....2, i only comment on how i deliver babys on my ward, how i was train and what had led to hundreds of many healthy babies being brought into this world....please dont insult my intelegence! and get your fax right!

  • @mylampisbright This is true. I keep seeing this at home births and unassisteds. It can be very, very dangerous for the little person! This is a great video and I hope others learn from it.

  • @mylampisbright That's only if you cut the cord without it being clamped. If you don't cut the cord then there is no reason to clamp it.

  • thankyou for sharing this video ely1m...you are amazing and have helped put my fears at ease.

  • thankyou for sharing this video ely1m...you are amazing and have helped put my fears at ease.

  • Clearly my comment has made you feel defensive. That was not my intent. I re-state my thought: an empowered mama who feels secure in her birthing environment (for example, you, at home, with a midwife) will have the safest birth. This is an evidence-based assertion. You're right: 'shit happens'. It happens in hospitals, it happens at home, no matter who is present 'just in case'. That is the nature of birth. Namaste, Sister.

  • @birdgirl1975 Thank you, I did take your last comments as negative. Maybe it was because I am sick after about 2 yrs of not getting sick and everything is extra irratating to me. Yes, birth is full of surprises. NOT TO BE FEARED or TREATED LIKE A ILLNESS. Birth should be enjoyed and remembered in a positive light. Word Up!

  • I am glad you felt great having a midwife at your birth; an empowered, secure Mama will give the safest birth. I also think women who choose to birth solo are doing what they know intuitively to be the safest thing, as are women who feel safest in the hospital. I wish more women would explore their options and choose the route they feel, really FEEL (intuition!) is the safest for them, and not listen to all the scare mongering out there.

  • @birdgirl1975 I AGREE 100% that there is alot of scare mongering. But Fact is birth is safe and normal and natural and yes about 90% of those births happen with zero complications. another Fact "Shit Happens." (sorry for the quote, just borrowing it) No one can tell if a complication will arise, reguardless of your intuition, stuff just happens. why take the chance is my view. No one "assisted" me but I had someone there Observing. Its important to choose a midwife who can sit on their hands!

  • @birdgirl1975 It is VERY possiable to have a UN-assisted birth with a midwife present. I was very clear that I did not want the midwive to be active in my birth. She was there as a safe guard and I feel it has always been that way. Tribal woman have birthing circles why not be with the medicine woman who respects the way nature works. *sigh** I just dont get it.

  • @birdgirl1975 I must be very nieve, please forgive me. But what is the difference of having a midwife who is hanging around in the back of the room sipping tea. and an unassisted birth with friends hanging around sipping tea. does that make me an insecure birther to invite people over to watch me? would you swim in strong waters with the "POSSIABILITY" of drowning alone..or with a trained lifeguard hanging on the beach watching you? its not breeding fear to say be on the safe side.

  • dis really inspired me

  • Im amazed at how "anti" unassisted birth you are. I wonder why...?

  • @birdgirl1975 The reason why I AM ANTI-unassisted birth is no mystery. Many things can happen during a birth and it is just the safe thing to do. A assisted birth lets mom relax and enjoy her birth without wondering if "this is normal". When your in labor you dont want to worry about that, and just thinking about that really takes from the experiance. A doc/midwife should just hang around with their hands tied OBSERVING "IF" something happens out of the norm. Why not have a "life guard" on duty?

  • I wanted a home birth but cannot afford it :( I wasn't prepared financially. I almost miscarried and thought I wasn't going to be able to see a midwife since I was bleeding but it eventually stopped (thank God) and had my hopes set on a home birth only to find out I can't afford it :( Congratulations on yours!

  • @tigerlilly699 1st I love the name "Tigerlilly", 2nd I was in the same boat about not being able to afford it. I was on medicaid at the time and really hounded my insurance company to pay for my "Less expensive Medical-journal-documented-SAFER birthing alternative" of course they denied it but did pay for the prenatal visits to the midwifes office. One thing someone said to me that helped me was, people get loans for cars all the time..a homebirth a cheaper and might mean more to you.

  • one of the best natural child birth videos ive seen! thanks and congrats!

  • I have watched a couple of birth videos and I would have to say that most of the videos that seem the calmest are the ones done at home or birthing centers. Makes me want to do it like that too. However, after watching all these birthing videos I've come to the conlusion that I don't want to give birth. Too much for me to handle. =) I do respect all the women who do, do it though. You ladies are amazing.

  • @shybettigurl sorry if I already replyed to you. I wouldn't worry too much if your not feeling the whole birth experiance. When you have a baby growing inside of you, you may change your mind. And if your one of the MANY women who decide that having kids just isnt their thing, does NOT make you any less of a woman. Being able to enjoy ur life to the fullest is what its all about! For some its enjoying the little rugrats and surviving being a mom, for others its living extreme and solo. all Good

  • great video. very informative. thank you! partner & I enjoyed watching it together & learnt some things

  • great video and llove the notes

  • Thank you for sharing your birthing experience. How beautiful. If only it could be like this for more families.

  • just a note, please check for USG etc before preparing this natural birth..

If my mom didn't have caesarian, i would be dead..

  • @gastrovaganza I'm not firmilar with USG. Please explain it, I Love learning everything I can about birth!

  • @ely1m this person has no idea what they're talking about. USG is the ultrasound used for diagnostics, not a deadly fetal illness.

  • Beautifull!!

  • I was so scared, but your video has given me so much hope! Thank you!!

  • I had a terrible first labour in hospital, I was shouted at to push when I had no urge to. I suffered a cervical tear and after an emergency caesarean due to my baby's distress, I suffered a massive postpartum hemorrhage and almost died. My second baby was delivered by caesar too, due to being 9 weeks prem. Things didn't work out with my girls dad and I desperately want baby with my partner, though he treats my girls as his own. Doctors had suggested my I'm "just not built for having babies"

  • Wow... Congratulations! I almost cried when your son said "Doesn't it feel good to be holding your baby?" Moments like these are exactly why my wife and I decided to do Bradley. Your husband looked like a great coach!!!

  • Beautiful video! Your son's curiosity (and excitement when he learned of his new sister!) brought tears to my eyes--what a great experience for him to have! Thank you for posting!

  • "really?! she had it?!" awwwwwwww

  • WHAT THE...?!?!

Why the would someones dislike this video?!?!?!

My girlfriend feels a LOT more confident after seeing this. She is absolutely petrified of giving birth in hospitals.

Thumbs up for this success and for the video being eye-opener to all women.

  • @DjNirrohn Thanks for your support!

  • omg im super scared to have kids im only 18 and i kno im young to be thinking that i guess from what my mom tells me but i dont want them for the fact of all that pain and tearingisnt worth it formethats why i might adopt as a better option and im just too scared i feel that i see my life better with myself my career and husband.

  • @marcoly25 I think 18 is a little to young to have kids also. But I am VERY proud that you do have a stable idea on what you want out of life. When your time comes to have children (or not) you will not have fear of your choice. Fear only comes from not knowing and it is fear that makes birth painful.. thats why I want to spread the word to every woman who is ready to have kids, so they can enjoy their birth and not be scared of it. Go get that career girl, Make us proud!

  • @ely1m thank yuu so much u have opened my eyes and have made me understand a bit coming from an actual mother that took the tyme to speak to me. ur a great inspiration to do well and i am glad real women like you speak out. thank you again and congrats on ur child you are a wonderful mother.

  • Thanks for posting all the comments during the video. Although I've had 3 children, they were all "unnatural" birth....hospital but I had considered myself a pro. I didn't know all the facts that you stated and will be doing my next labor/delivery different the next time!! Thanks!!!!

  • @MissLaurie40 I'm glad I could help you..but the information i put in my video is just a sliver of information available from the bradley method classes. it is very possiable to have a natural birth in a hospital. I had two midwives with me and emergency equipment also. Just keep that in mind an unassisted birth is VERY UNNATURAL and dangerous (just incase) in labor you would not beable to tell if anything is wrong. Let me know if you found a class near you!

  • @ely1m

I am really glad you mention the risks of unassisted childbirth. There seems to be a movement going on where moms think that unassisted home births are safe and a brave option... They seem to think that because women are meant to bear children that somehow it is completely safe and natural to have the baby at home unassisted. For as long as birth has been recorded, moms have had midwives or someone by their side to help with unintended emergencies etc.

  • I'm doing this in 4 weeks! Only my spouse supports me. Everyone is in love with procedures and hospitals, and scares me. So I do not talk about my intentions anymore, and watch youtube for examples. They are so misinformed. I have tremendous courage and your video gave me more, especially since it is my first baby. Nice to see that you did it. Beautiful.

  • @remiguald HAahaa! thats funny, yeah not many people know how amazing the placenta really is..many women die because doctors dont even know how sensitive this organ is. Doctors who clamp and cut the cord right away have no idea on the natural process and are taught the 1800s medical philosophy..I'm not down for blood letting I like Gods plan better ;) sorry i freaked you out.LOL

  • how nice of your father to be there to support you during birth HAHA how funnnnnny.

  • @jaypierce69 dont be jealous...my husband is hot!

  • Thank you for sharing yr beautiful moment. you look so calm and peaceful throught out.

    Congrats

  • I really loved this video. Thank you for sharing this moment. I have had 2 children in hospital. One with an epidural and one natural. Both were extremely unpleasant for different reasons. We are researching home births for our third child and this video has really convinced me that this is the right thing to do. I know it hurts but it doesn't have to be such the traumatic event that hospitals make it into. Thank you again! Congratulations. :)

  • and over 69 thousand people have seen one of your most personal moments

  • Wow!!

This looks so much more relaxing and peaceful than a hospital birth, I definitely wont be giving birth in a hospital after seeing this:)

  • @cute799 its all about the training...I wouldnt run a marithon without training or having a educated coach. The bradley method of natural childbirth trained me with good nutrition, excersies, lots of labor practice for all types birth situations, and they even trained my husband to be a great coach to keep me on track. check it out & spread the word! bradleybirth com!

  • could you upload video of you pushing and the birth?

  • @100rrh sent you a message, I did adress this acouple of times in the comments already so i dont wanna keep posting. =)

  • im only 17 and i just had a sudden urge in the topic 'home birth' , im not pregnat or anything or plan to have one in the near future. after watching kandee johnsons it seemed so gracious like your birth. the 'tree of life' and your quotes about hospital births completely freaked me out! but congrats anyway!

  • I should be taking this class in a few weeks. I can not wait. I hope my birth is as easy and peaceful as yours. I love that you didn't know baby was crowning, amazing!

  • beautiful. thanks for sharing. i loved all your little boxes of info notes on the differences between what was happening with your natural birth in the video and what often occurs in hospital births. very enlightening...also, willow and i have the same birthday! yay aries baby!

  • beautiful. thanks for sharing....also, willow and i have the same birthday! yay aries baby!

  • I liked this video!! Kinda felt a connection with you and the things you said.. then i saw that you named your son Blaze...thats what im naming my little nugget!! Well Tommy Blaze. Im having my baby next week (hopefully)

  • @jryse14 Best of luck!!!! let me know how is goes, I love birth stories!!

  • Great upload thanks for this and congrats on the birth of your lovely baby :), i have also a Birthing documentary on my channel if your interested :)

  • How amazingly beautiful, this brought tears to my eyes! Congratulations!

  • Thank you for sharing this video! I've learned a lot more!

  • U have such a beautiful baby!!

  • continued from last reply: I am so proud of myself for doing what was best for my child and i just feel so empowered that i did it without intervention or help...sure it hurt like hell but TBH i think the lack of sleep was far worse than any amount of pain.

  • @GlamEcoMama OH MY! 30 hours, My hats off 2you mama!! I was just at a hospital birth where a mom was just going into transition. she started with the shakes and as the nurse was checking her machines, she mentioned how it was starting to hurt. as i started explaining 2 the mom that this is the hardest part and doesnt last that long, the nurse hands her the epidoral button and presses it 2x for her and tells her to just push until it stops. It was a shame, Im happy to hear ur baby has the best!

  • @ely1m aww, transition means youre so close to the end :( (well unless your mean, youd have about 8 more hours ahead lol). I threw up when i was in the jacuzzi, so EVERYONE thought i was in transition....turns out i was only 4-5cm :( they wouldn't have checked me (as i know the more checks can lead to intervention, not to mention the risk of infection) but i allowed them bc we all though i was in transition...that was so hard for me to hear!

  • @ely1m CONTINUED: but then the little act of walking out of the jacuzzi into the waterbirth room jumped me to almost a 7! Thing is i was there for a long time (I had 30 hours of CONSTANT back labor...the worst) but anyways i was up the entire time except in the water. So they wanted me to lay in bed to see if that would make me dilate...that was the WORST part of the entire thing...laying there...

  • @ely1m Gosh, no wonder everyone has to get epidurals these days! If i had to lay there any longer i would have gotten one too! but that is sad ...she totally could have done it! i feel like any woman can if she educates herself and stops listening to society. I am thinking about being a doula! Would be great :)

  • @ely1m Parts of me thought being tired was worse than anything (and it was) but looking back on it, i think being tired also made in more that dreamy state so time was going by faster if that makes any sense.

  • I too am a fellow Bradley Method user and I am SOOO glad we did it! I had a water birth as well and it was one of the most amazing things of my life. 30 hours of labor (water broke at 3:30am) and i had the baby 9:17am 30 hours later (was in transition for about 9 hours and pushed for 6 hours).

  • I am almost 35 weeks pregnant with my little girl who I am naming Willow. This is a beautiful birth! I am planning a home water birth and hope to have a peaceful birth like yours. Congrats!

  • @AwillowS1 your close to having your baby willow (if you didn't pop by now) just wondering how your doing? and if your doctor is pushing you to be induced..Rugers University did a study that proves the average full term baby is due at 42 weeks not the current suggested 38 weeks. Every baby cooks differently some longer than others. Message me I'd Love to hear your story!

  • I'm a home birth Momma too. That was so peaceful. The rocking and spiraling movement is so nice to help the baby down and it relieves so much of the pain from the contractions. It moves the energy through instead of letting it compound. A gentle home water birth is such a beautiful way to be born. What lead you to the hospital system to have your first birth, was it lack of options or just not knowing you had options? Having forund out about homebirth would you now do it any other way?

  • I have always been absolutley terrified of child birth. This video helped take away a little of my fear. Of course every pregnancy and birth is different but can it really be that peaceful? It almost seems too good to be true:) Thank you for posting this beautiful video

  • Hi, watching your video as a pregnant first time mom really helped me understand the process significantly better and how much I don't want anything to do with a hospital or drugged mom 'n baby setting. I love how you showed the whole transition from baby born to breastfeeding, to delivering the placenta, etc. I still have a ton of Q's, and of all the videos I have watched yours is the one that stands out the most, and I would love a moment to dialogue with you via email chelsea.harlow@yahoo.com

  • Amazing video, thanks for sharing!!!!

  • This is amazing, and so inspiring too. I'm due in 12 weeks time and am determined to have a hydro-hypno birth. My partner is a bit sceptical about it and I'm struggling to convince him that pain relief isn't necessary, and neither is screaming! I'm going to get him to watch your wonderful birth so he can see just how fantastic the experience can be. We have our hypnobirth classes this week and I'm so excited to meet our baby! Thank you for sharing this, and congratulations to your family.

  • Absolutely beautiful. I love your little boys reactions. What a mature young man.

  • @living4heaven thanks! we are very lucky to have such a happy kid. and he's a great big brother, changes diapers and plays with her. having him at the birth gave him a sence of ownership on her. we wont have the jelousy issues most parents have when they leave and "bring home" a baby.

  • I noticed in the text about post partum bleeding you said that it shouldn't last that long. I am a midwife, doula and homebirth mama who of course had physiological 3rd stages and I still bled HEAVILY for 6 and 8 weeks respectively. My mother also experienced this, she also birthed all 5 of us at home, and yet she lost lochia for everywhere between 4 weeks and 10 weeks.

Some people bleed for 6 weeks regardless (but managed 3rd stage sure as hell doesn't help)

  • @edaj84 I would like to study the post pardum locha issue. all the women i come in contact with who was able to breastfeed and not rush(light traction, tugging, injections, pushing on outter stomach) the placenta had average 3-2 days of bleeding. I agree a "managed" 3rd stage is the pits.

  • @ely1m it is possible that my mother and I are post partum lochia exceptions (given that we are related it is of course possible that there is a herediatary link)

  • @edaj84 see, thats the amazing thing.. I think more women should be aware of this,. and please dont take this to offence. but medical "terms" have a way of describing natural effects of medical manuvers. I am not saying that it is not possiable to have herediatary link, but how amazing would it be to know "Why" it happens. Thanks for sharing this possiability with me!

  • @ely1m indeed medical terms can be confusing and misleading to some. I am a doula and studying to be a midwife though so they are very rarely lost on me lol.

  • @ely1m and I think it is important that women are aware of the correct medical terms so that they understand their health care providers. (eg bleeding Vs lochia, after I have that baby Vs post partum/post natal)

  • very informative! thank you so much!

  • @princessmelodye your welcome, please share this video with friends and family who deserves a healthy birth.

  • i am now for sure having a home birth!! you made it look so stress free and beautiful!! thank you for sharing! <3 xxx

  • @MissNixsyPixsyMUA thanks! it took alot of prepration learning how to labor, and good training and eating to maximize chances for a sucessful natural birth. I cant say enough how wonderful The Bradley Method is compared to anyother birthing class.

  • eat the placenta!!!

  • @anonymous133711 HAHAAaa..if i had more guts i would. but i draw the line at consuming myself...lol

  • do you have an video of the birth ?

  • @chinluanlin I kick myself in the butt about this. after transition when you get ready to push for some women it is easy breesy..I was so calm and laughing we didn't think the baby was really comming out. this is how it went.

me: well should i push? midwife:yeah if it doesnt hurt try it. me: (small push..)i dont know it feels weird, is it supposed to hurt? midwife: your having a baby your going to feel some pain, try pushing through it. me: (push..)OMG..lol.. i feel something turning..(cont.)

  • @chinluanlin (cont.) me: OMG..lol (i really did laugh) i feel something turning..omg that feels so strange..lol.., OH..i think something came out. Midwife: what? really, nah.. Myhusband: yeah, i think i see something.. Baby kicks out of me, i semi get up to pick her up and Katie starts filming .. AGHH i wish it was on tape, pure comedy!

  • I love how the cat's just in the bacround lol. But Great job, i can't wait to have kids

  • for how long were you in labor for? you started at 4 am and what time did you end?

  • @yazyh 8:56am complete. I believe it was because i took the birthing classes called The Bradley method. when you are taught how your body works to move down a baby, you work with it to have a quicker birth and not fight your body. I really regret not recording when i started pushing. i was too calm they had no idea i was really pushing out the baby..and i didnt even think she was crowning. it wsnt until my husband saw a glimps of the head they grabed the camera and she kicked herself out.

  • 1:20 so cute how kitty was there for support! <3

  • Hi, your birth was beautiful! I have a question about labor pain. i am planning a homebirth myself and am 7 months pregnant now. my family isnt against homebirth but they all are skeptical as to how i will get through without pain medication. Is it possible for someone with a low pain threshold to give birth naturally without pain medication relief? Can it be done with doing natural comfort measures? I mean how painful is labor really? this is my first baby and dont know exactly what to expect.

  • @monicababy45 theres two ways to answer this..lol 1st if you are trained in "how your body expells a baby" its a period cramp, it get kinda scary then you remember your training and breath past the urge to tighten your stomach. If you take the Bradley Method they teach you everything and also trains your partner how to coach you, so they also know how to keep you on course. no matter how much training you have in labor you will forget to relax and that is what makes pain intense.

  • @monicababy45 the bradley method has a 85% sucess rate in unmedicated births, now thats combined internationaly all the different teachers and countless hospitals who may not be educated in NATURAL child birth(because there is a difference between natural and medicated vaginal birth) The Doc who originated this class had a 96% sucess rate for unmedicated births that was over 46 yrs and 23 thousand births. There are may ways people deal with comfort measures and i but if you dont learn what

  • @monicababy45 ...is causing the pain how can you correct it? It so sooo possiable for you to have the birth you want, and i myself wanted my birth to be like me dancing with God and accepting a wonderful gift. I trusted my design and accepted what my body was doing. I fought against my "human learned" instants to tighten my stomach durning contractions and breathed through my abdomin and it was hard work but i didnt see it as "pain" it was work. I hope you have a Bradley teacher around you to go

  • @monicababy45 ok without the bradley class. and not knowing that the uterus has a muscle around it called a Fundus that works by itself. it feels like some one is stabbing your insides with a 4 bladed sickle, because you are fighting this stupid fundus muscle and not only that but it lasts so much longer because your body is too busy fighting you to really work that baby out. take a bradley class and practice the relaxation and abdominal breathing tech. they also teach you posi to ease bk Labor

  • @ely1m thanks so much for replying to me. your info is helping me to mentally prepare. i am about to start a class soon. ... now when you say that it feels like someone is stabbing your insides is that becuase the woman is fighting it and not relaxing and letting her body do the work? or is that just how it feels no matter what? thanks and have a good day!

  • @monicababy45 hahaa.. im so glad your getting into a class..lol sorry for the scary truth, but the horriable pain is only when you fight it. when you relax and know the contraction is hugging and massaging the baby. it is somewhat relaxing, i started looking forward to my contractions because with every passed means baby is that much closer to my arms. the major key is RELAXING and of course good diet, and excersice. happy protein hunting, and kegeling! please let me know how it goes!

  • @ely1m As much as I appreciated the whole video, this comment bothers me. There is no muscle called the fundus. Fundus is a term meaning opposite to the opening and hence the top of the uterus is called the fundus (it being opposite to the cervix)

  • @edaj84 you are totally right, here is what happens: contractions start at the FUNDUS (top of the uterus-(which the uterus has long muscles that go from top to bottom) the long muscles flex and contract opening the cervix. Thanks for clarifying. dont fight the fundus..or muscle bag called the uterus.

  • @ely1m The uterus has muscles running both ways, both from fundus to cervix as well as all the way around horizontally. And yes, fear (whether conscious or not), nervousness, not being comfortable, strange environment, strange people etc can certainly make contractions/rushes/surges seem far more painful and as you say can infact delay (or even stall) labour.

  • I love your little boys face when you wake him :D

  • @emmalala1403 awwes, same here. we woke him right after she was out 9am most likely. we wanted him there for the birth but didnt want him to be bothered with the wait. so he had no idea i was in labor when i tucked him into bed that night..lol it was great, i leaned in to give him a kiss during an early contraction which is like a tightening and the feeling was like hugging my baby in the womb and kissing my boy goodnight all at once. I was such a proud mama.

  • thank you SO much for sharing this... I am at a loss for words after watching such a beautiful birth. THIS is how birth is SUPPOSED to be. I had a c-section with my first due to breech (I was NOT educated at all and just did what the OB told me to do) with my second I had a VBAC in a hospital and was basically forced to have drugs of all kinds pushed into my body.

This time I am going with an amazing midwife.. though it will be a hospital birth I would LOVE to have a birth like you had..amazing

  • @Mommy2kal I hope the best for your birth it really is an amazing experiance, have you looked for a bradley class in your area? it makes a world of difference.

  • What a beautiful, gentle birth! Congratulations! This also goes to show that most interventions in hospitals are really not necessary. I'm glad to see you could trust Mother Nature to birth your baby.

  • @mmmbad thank you! Hopefully it will become the norm to have a truely natural childbirth.

  • Thank you for sharing this!!! I found it very informative and comforting. It only makes me anticipate the birth of my little one even more!

  • @7megs7 YOUR WELCOME! Taking the bradley childbirth classes really prepared us. it is just more this little bit of info i added onto my video. the bradley method teaches you "how" to conduct yourself by relaxation excersices and birth role playing that you just cant find with other methods of birth. check out the website bradleybirth com

  • Beautiful, powerful !! Great video! The infos are unmistakable. This is the way mommy should look like after birth!

It is so like my unassisted homebirth! It all came back to me. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! So happy for you<3
