GTA: TBOGT is for pyros. Just about every gun has explosives, and the helecopters cause pure mayhem. GTA: TLAD doesn't have helecopters, and is for the more experienced, and rather, veteran GTAiv online players. Some of the weapons - sawwed off shotgun if you will - are still there for the amateurs, however. ;)

TBOGT - pretty much every gun has explosives, an if you're in a helecopter, you win no matter what. It's for the amateurs.

TLAD - a few weapons are there for amateurs, sawwed off shotgun, automatic shotgun, etc, but no helecopters, and is there for the more experienced and veteran GTAiv players. GTAiv is still around too of course, but I now prefer TLAD online.

I love GTA IV and I love the idea of freemode, but everyone just wants to deathmatch in it and spam the tank. I would much rather look for glitches or create in game games with people (like Halo 3's grifball) than mindlessly kill them. There is a game mode for that and it's called deathmatch.
