I feel sorry for her that she was so easily saduced, blinded and corrupted by someone who only wants her fame and money! Why don't she understand that? Is she that innocent ?

And why don't she persue recognition as a classical singer which is something that was always her top priority? The hypocricy and greed of some poeple has no limits! It is really better if you speak on things after you made your research, because Tarja never hated metal. You obviously don't know, but some of her favorite bands are Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.

@FaithLehan Well, everybody likes bands like Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin. Even Britney Spears listens to some classic rock and heavy metal bands! Actually I made quite a research about Nightwish because they are one of my 3 favourite metal bands ever! I like Tarjia's work with Nightwish (I don't see her as a member of the band since she herself never saw her as one) but I am not so innocent and naive as some poeple who are romantic enough not to see what was going on. IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY !!!

OK. I also like Nightwish with Tarja more, but it was she that made the mistake. She was saduced by Marcello and made all the mistakes in the world and left Tuomas and the band no alternative choice. So she is the one to blame and stop deifying her. At least Anette has the guts to face all those haters and get on stage to kick ass. Tarja wasn't the Nightwish and you can hear it in her solo career which sucks in my opinion.

Nightwish was great with Tarja. I tried listening to the new stuff with Anette, but I dont like it at all. Her voice doesnt fit as well in this band. All the stuff that Tarja did in Nightwish is just great though.

@z4nc0u00961 Keep in mind that the entire album was written and recorded BEFORE Annette was even in the band. While I disagree with your assertion to a point that she doesn't "fit in", you may find the fit is much better when the music is actually written with her in mind.

@Johnny90M Yes it does. But the meaning of the clip just like the song, is that the guy is grieving over the death of his girlfriend and he recalls back his childhood where he met her. But the clip is played invertedly, beginning with the scene where he killed himself to when he was a happy kid with his girlfriend at the time.

Here's the style i consider of Nightwish during the years:

1997 to 2001: with the first bassist: It was totally power metal.

2002 to 2005: with Marco, it turned somehow the power metal with the gothic style.

2007 to today: Back to power metal, but with Annette in the vocals.

That's just bullshit imo. There is no "real" Nightwish, only different eras of their career. The Century Child album introduced Marco as an additional vocalist, the use of more authentic orchestral work rather than synthesizers and Tarja had retrained her vocals for higher and more girlie pitch (and considerably less powerful too.. just try to compare her vocals on Passion And The Opera with Wish I Had An Angel). The original Nightwish style ended after Wishmaster.

@amabilisima I beg to differ. The REAL Nightwish was Tarja, Tuomas, Emppu, Jukka, and Sami Vanska. Keep in mind Marco's first album with Nightwish was Once, Nightwish's 4th album and their last with Tarja. Then came Anette's first album, Dark Passion Play.
