本当はもう少し甲高い音なのですが、マイクにテープを貼って高音­域が拾えていないので、人によってはカブっぽく聞こえるのも事実­です。

サイレンサーさえOHすればもっともっと良い音なんですよ、と言­い訳してみます。

@ns400rnc19 - the Suzuki RG500 had a top speed of around 225km/h - I mean real top speed, not indicated - and that bike was significantly quicker/faster than an NS400R. The RZ350 went just over 200km/h so I think ~210 - 215km/h is a more realistic figure for a stock NS400R.

@almasi72 Not to be rude or anything, but I disagree with your statement. An NSR250r could do 210-220kph. An NS400r could really beat that I would imagine...It's all about the gearing...I can make a 150cc fourstroke go up to 200kph if i had high gearing :)

@Naptownstreetsquid ofcourse you need power to turn that higher gearing...not just higher gearing..even low gearing. But even a 150cc fourstroke is capable of turning the gearing...BUT the ACCELERATION is limited...with higher gearing the 150cc is way underpowered to turn the gears fast but it's still capable of turning it.....does that make sense? i mean to be a honest, a 50cc is even capable of that but the accleration would be DEAD slow.

@MyBoogeryBooger It's not just that the acceleration would be really slow, you would also not be able to pull peak revs and you could therefore end up slower, rather than faster.

I've ridden both an NS400R and an RG500, UK spec bikes and I owned the RG500. The NS will pull close to 130mph on a good day and the standard RG500 will definitely hit 140mph. Both respond to tuning very well, I've seen road tests for the tuned Honda (148mph! Can't for the life of me remember where, it was years ago, just how bloody quick it was) and have ridden stage 3 500's (mine) which really fly, 150+.

The NS was a nice handling bike too.

@Fluclear I can't say about the NS 400 but I used to race with RG 500 and on one race they got me a top speed of 275 kph with a radar gun. Needless to say that it was modified but like somebody said here, these bikes respond really well to tuning.
