How is the "triple white" focused on women? Honestly, because it's white now makes me more of a woman's car? Fact is, you are looking at the reason all the major auto makers are redesigning new cars to be like old ones. This car is a piece of automotive history. Frankly, when you call it a "chick car" the only reason I can think of you saying that for, is that you need a big engine to feel like a man. Awesome color/car combo, IMHO.

haha, Beetles especially the convertible are built for fun loving happy people who could care less about extra horse power, bigger back seat or huge trunk!!! this car has a fun spirit and puts a smile on everyone's face. The only thing annoying is the rest of the angry depressed people i have to share to road with racing home in their 350hp suv to watch TV after binging at costco, u know put that precious cargo space to use. Life's a journey, slow down and look around sometimes... and smile LOL

I've had this car for 2 years and i'm still in love with it.

6 quarts of synthetic oil is rather a lot, i'll admit, but i still love this car with every fibre of my being!

wow you must really hate cars/driving.  saying all you care about a car is reliability is like saying all you care about from a girlfriend is punctuality. that's how insignificant it is. in this day and age, there really isn't a such thing as an unreliable car. the beetle is very dull, very feminine, and pretty pointless too.

bottom line is that a car's job is to excite the driver, and this car doesn't do that.

Steve probably drives a Kia Spectra. He obviously doesn't know what fun is. The New Beetle was and still is a fun and vwry well engineered vehicle. The New Beetle has personality, Steve has none. Men do drive these cars and adore them, I am one of them. Reviewers are a dime a dozen and can be bought, the New Beetle is one in a million. Dude, beetles are awesome. The trunk space is amazing, all my friends are astounded by the space saying that they never thought it would be so big. I have a 01 and I get at least 30mi/gal on city and 33 on highway ( though I rarely drive on the highway since Iive in the city. The dashboard is big, great for pizzas. The back seats is not small. Bigger than the late 90 Mustang. I fit 3 people in the back seat. Great headroom for the front, but less in the back. But, Great car! I'm getting a new 1

the engine is in the wrong place and the dash is too big. It's also small inside? I've got an original beetle and that IS small inside, and the new beetle is no bigger. While I was getting my 1970 Bug serviced at my local W dealer I was waiting round for ages and decided to see what they were like. I just found it a bit boring and a tad small and the steering wasnt very positive. :( Expected so much more.

I wouldn't recommend it. 00-04 VWs have had serious reliability issues. Back in 03-05 I was shopping for a new car for my mom and we looked at the passat, and even he admitted that 00-02 had serious electrical issues. I'd stay away, as the same has been for most VWs of the early 2000s.

I love the car and have so much fun driving it. Is it a sports car? Hell no. Is it fun to drive? Hell yes.
