You'll never get the V8 sound, just to be honest with you. But on the other hand you can get a really nice roar out of a 4cyl, check out what mufflers are available for your exhaust and look on YouTube for videos to see if you like the sound.

But unfortunately, the V8 sound is purely V8. The inline 6 can come pretty close, but still not all the way.

No clue, bub. They bought it like that. I'd ask them but they moved to Iowa a few months later. :(

@jeepscometrue Not the easiest task. My guess they have a pinched pipe to fit through there. Pass side of tank is notched for exhaust to fit but drivers is not. It is easier to do on lifted ZJs. I went with an easier set up. Duals that exit before the rear tires to each side. Straight piped of course and yes it is loud!

It's only a 5.2. the 5.9's didn't come in any shade of red and it's missing a lot of exterior pieces that the 5.9 had (hood louvers, 5-spoke Ultrastars, etc.).

I think more than just the exhaust was done. I didn't get to see under the hood, so I'm really not sure.

This is like the third or fourth car she's gone through since Christmas. The firedbird and this Jeep are the only two decent cars out of that. The Firedbird had a makeshift sunroof built onto it by the last owner. She sat in it one time after it rained and sold it (apparently replacement sunroofs cost about a grand to install).
