The best pet is actually the thunderhound, it sprays chain lightning for 20K damage per second, and can warp to any place in the zone and stun all enemy targets within 10 yards of the initial location AND the target location.

Only downside is you need to be a lightning templar to be able to tame it.

u horde arent the only one that can tame it its a rare in whinterspring for the alliance it spawns under frostsave rock but rare so u may have to look there every day i think not so hard to find i mean not as hard a loque nahak finding but still takes effords so yep thats it not only horde can hav it i even hav one black and im a night elf GOOD LUCK FINDING IT ;]

@U2Violet and every other hater, this was a "rare" pet back in 2008 when I played hunter - (the reason I made this video). There is no "best" pet, there are different pet families and each have its own purpose. This was Best pet for me just because I had really great fun taming it..

Also the comment about the Blood Elves clearly explains your age mate. And stupidity. I will pick AOE silence for every class every day over any other racial. If you play pvp you would know what am talking about..

You dont have to stand there and get mauled while youre taming it you know. Use your trap to put it in a block of ice while youre taming it. It will come out just almost at the end of the taming bar being finished and you will only get a couple of mauls instead of standing there getting mauled the whole time.

skoll (spirit beast) is the lightning wolf.  its lvl 80 tho. spawns in the storm peaks, has 3-4 spawning point. must be BM to tame it. got it last week... every freaking hunter are after it these days. bests chances to get it: morning during weekdays.

good thing about it: heals you (like all spirit beasts do), has a really good look and no lvling to do

the cat is soooo GAYYYYYY they have stealth which makes them move low have crappy hp the dps is ok but not as good as the bas ass wolf

- Cats have gay stealth (which makes them slow) so you need to wait forever for it to start attacking.

- Bears have an AoE so they are good for tanking your enemy (in PvE)

- Spiders have a four second web which doesn't help much in PvE (most are immune to snares) as for PvP, people can trinket/racial out of it

- Crabs do less DPS but have a same move as Spiders except its called "Pin". Whats worse is, its a channeled spell.

- Wolves get Furious Howl! Increased dmg for pet AND hunter

A couple months later the patch for BC expansion landed...I was so pissed I deleted and quit WoW.

BACK IN THE DAY!! indeed. I had 'Broken Tooth' who took me 2 almost full days to find in Badlands. Broken Tooth had a 1.2 atk speed and was a true killer in pvp. Also! I was level 54 when i found him...he was 37...this mean 2 solid weeks of grinding the lowest green mobs i could possibly find and respeccing from BM to Marksman so i could kite. No way he could stand up to the mobs otherwise. This is what it took for me to level the pet up to me and i was level 58 by the time I finally made it.

yes in fact echeyakee can indeed be tamed by alliance. its a simple process.

1) alliance player has horde friend on same server simply go to XR and get the quest or proposition someone who has quest to simply.

2) use horn for quest. summon echeyakee. stand back. alliance tames as normal. also, horn is repeat usable. I was payed 20g to facilitate this action on my orc hunter and then repeated the action, tamed one myself. repeated action yet again and used Echeyakee himself to kill a third one.

Back in the day when Pets werent all Generically the same, Humar the Pride Lord had a 1.10 Attack Speed making it a really good pet, These days anyone who uses a cat is pretty stupid really. Such shit racial ability, Roll Wolf for extra AP buff.
