I've had this one for 15 years, best fixed blade knife I've had. I've always wondered how you would describe this handle, but I couldn't understand what you said. "Stagged along durlen"? I've always just referred to it as my bone handle blade.

Truly in my opinion in the day Schrade tied with case I may be only 15 but I've owned several USA Schrades and Cases and they seem pretty even

I have one I purchased in Alaska in the early 80's. I've noticed that now they only seem to come in stainless but mine is carbon.

U have the top of the line my friend.........Schrade corp went out of business in 03/04 and now they got China made knife..........U got a good ole USA

Thanks man I agree the stainless blade dont hold an edge as good!

aint nothing like good old high carbon blades thats real metal....more cleaning involved but holds an edge 10 times better!

Nice knife I have an old parker handmade knife. I carry a case 2 blade trapper. have carred it for 30 years. I have two buck knives but I don't like the stainless knives! I like blades made from soligen steel they seem to sharpen very quick and holds an edge. Yet I carry this old case
