this score is faeces compared to James horner's score of Star trek II and the stealing the Enterprise bit. Sorry, had to say it, this film is no match for the originals, 'Kirk, you'll never sit in the captains chair again, WARP SPEED!' priceless, still sends shivers down my spine after all these years.
Nah... The new music is too heroic for my tastes. The old one was more serious... more mature... Cooler... Way more intelligent... But still with awesome bits of hope for the future. The new one is like a war chant... Like some dramatic prelude to war song from some green recruits... I don't like it, because it glorifies what the Federation seeks to avoid. Period.
The original music for this scene is truly amazing. It is so stupid that you changed it just for the heck of it. I mean, it isn't improving the scene at all.
Don't get me wrong, I like both musical scores, but seriously though.
@Michbarkc maybe you should make an edit of these movies when in battle scenes to this score, this is a little fast paced for one of the slowest scenes in movie history (not to mention 2001 a space odyssey)
Although it is fast paced it's just tries to bring together the new mold with older film so they establish very interesting paradox, it's like you almost imagine this is cris pine years later with simon peg, it's an interesting paradox to make. The very ship that brought down the most worst enemies of the federation history. Somehow what if this the real story of kirk and what if this is real story of spock. You really do have to open your mind to possibilities.

Good job, surprising how well the new music fits with the old intro.

@28stads Why would you comment someone else's video just say it was stupid and pointless? Seriously?

Maybe it's the editing but it feels wrong to me. More like for a battleship than the Enterprise.

@derBene Or the Titanic surfacing, ala "Raise the Titanic!".

It works, suprisingly. I don't think anyone would fault you for slightly editing the video to have a better impact.

what a perfect way to pay homage to the original score by one the best composers of our time, music is too fast paced for this scene, anyway!
you disgrace the race, peace out.

Killed it by putting in the new score in an already epic scene with a great soundtrack.

I agree with Raneko. It needs to be re-edited.
