Oh man some people are so naive! artists do NOT have a right to decide what they want. It's all music companies who owns them, they are the rulers of all. Not artits are greedy, but those multibillioner companies..but they will fail, cause nobody will buy shit because nobody will find about them cause nobody int he future will not be able to show others the artits they love.
FUCK YO JAMGLUE WAS THE FIRST STEP TO MY MUSIC NOW IM DOING ALOT BETTER BUT IF IT WASENT FOR THE JAM I WOULD NEVER BEEN THE WAY I AM-OUTBREAK (OUTBREAK XXL FREESTYLE 2011)
Even if we did upload copyrighted music most of us who were great at mixing created our base of mixes on jamglue and most of the top mixers on there would gather up and make songs together. It was more than a mixing and "downloading" site it was a music community, members always had support of one another
I had made at least bout 150 mixes all good shit improving since from day one and thos motherfukkers who sued Jamglue had me lose everything I had worked for a year
oh my god the way i found out it shut down was when i was first introduced to hardstyle music so i went there to try to make a song then i see it. jamglue shut down..... i was. pissed to say the least. if i was an artist making songs they would all be free. especially if i just make som beats on the computer. sure its time consuming and hard to do sometimes but ye id make it free. and the only people would have to pay for is merch that other companys made and the concert people for concerts.
@officialchristiantv Love that site, I used to work on songs & get all happy when I got in the top 10 or 5. I can't find a better site a year later...
FUCK YO JAMGLUE WAS THE FIRST STEP TO MY MUSIC NOW IM DOING ALOT BETTER BUT IF IT WASENT FOR THE JAM I WOULD NEVER BEEN THE WAY I AM-OUTBREAK (OUTBREAK XXL FREESTYLE 2011)
Not all artists can or WANT to tour. If an artist wants to make money from their work legally, then that is their right. The artist or the copyright holder should make the decision if they want their creation to be free. In many cases, it makes total sense to give away free music. If they don't...stop ripping them off and create your own work.
@dvlak3000 An artist work is only theirs until they release it into the world, then it becomes ours! They only have a right if they have not yet released it, then, it's our rights... To use it, however we want, feel or see fit!
you are an idiot you realise that artists arent being greedy and that all the sales they get from albums they only get 10 to 15% of profit from... and you act like touring is easy to do doing a show everynight and bearly getting any rest isnt healthy and artists are HUMAN STILL they still want to have time for themselves for there freinds and family ect. you are being selfish
@opgangsta1193 Yes, I will gladly admit that I'm being selfish which I blame on the environment and social upbringing of being in a dog eat dog world. However, just like Tyra Banks said, I can choose to over come such negative qualities but I have yet too. I understand everything you're said and know what you say is mostly true. But I don't think of myself as an idiot sir, no more than you think of yourself as someone who's superior to that in which you called an idiot to.
@opgangsta1193 whoa whoa whoa dipshittery, did you ever think these multi-million dollar artists are maybe a little greedy? the artists who are well known enough to actually be bootlegged aren't even losing pocket change by this. and considering most of them couldn't tell you the root note of C fucking minor (all rap artists), why would they deserve millions of dollars every year for being musical talent?
@rippkurlzable actually thats not true. For instance when a new band or artist comes around a manager is assign to that artist or band. The manager is in charge with coming with money; in other words, finding potential investors. If the manager is wealthy enough, they often use their own money like Johnny Wright. Touring and/or opening for bigger artist is what generates new fans. You can't release a CD or album if no one knows who you are, because you won't make money....
@rippkurlzable ...then you become in debt because you had to spend money so as to make that album. Up and coming bands who are signed to record labels will spend months at a time on the road so as to gain popularity. Most start out in Europe because its cheaper and easier to stay on top over there.
However, it can work either way....have a good day. =)
Is there any other site similar? I miss jamglue, not everyone can afford to spend 99 cent on hundreds of different songs. Tht shit adds up, nd @ the end of the day them rappers and singers are still going to be fuckin MILLIONAIRS!
@laserdude1000 yeah man jamglue rocked they shudv left it online they deleted the download songs feature anyway jamglue was awesome so simple yet effective way to remix music n hav a cool profile we all miss it hpe 1 day it comes back :'(
There was a mortal kombat remix on jamglue I download that was done so good, it beat all the other remixes of this tune. I miss this site :( I'm glad I downloaded the mortal kombat remix though, or I would've never been able to get it when it was shut down
Rappers, Beatmakers and Producers, Jameglue is no longer. Your new home is now: DopeTracks. Google it. But it's NOT a place to upload and download copyrighted music.
You call artist greedy because they want money for their songs, yet you download their songs for free stop with the bullshit. If your to cheap to pay 99 cents how are people gonna buy concert tickets
R.I.P. JAMEGLUE, even though i only knew jamglue for a short time it filled a hole i had in my heart for free acapellas and instrumentals....you probably will be forgotten.
@thuglikepac0 they still tour, artists know alot of artists who are insanely good who havent made it and they have them open shows for them getting them noticed by labels and when they get some label exposure some real fans buy CD's, but seeing as hip-hop isnt the only genre(though in my opinion one of the best) your comment makes no sense, every other genre is thriving, its not just the fans its the sell out artists who make people fans of bullshit so they dont buy real shit.
this made me wanna cry. last semester in school i had a computer class and all we ever did was make cool stuff off jamglue but now its gone :'( oh well who knows another website??
This fucking sucks for people like me that used that site to download acapellas and make ringtones, as well as remixes. I got so much shit I been just dying to remix and I can't.
*Where the Hell do I go for free music right online without downloading Limewire??? They left me out in the Cold. Out in the Rain. lol..... No Jamglue? All those mixes I did for that place man. -_- Hell, I should just break down and cry right now.... -_-
If i paid for every song i damn downloaded i would probly owe over 20 thousand dollars ....Fuck Greedy ass artist ...Back to Lime Wire! lets see them shut that down
for aspiring music makers. you use acid planet to upload music that you have created. they even have mix contests and prizes going on with artists every month. the site has been going strong for years.
I tried acapellas4u, it's god awful, it's interface, layout, and style are like they were designed by a 1st grader.
It's harder then hell to find acapellas like I used to, I wanna remix certain songs, and all I can find is crap I don't want.
Nothing compares to jamglue, it's tops. I don't want instrumentals, i can mix vocals out myself, or recreate the music, which would be mostly a waste of time.
I agree with what this video has to say, and just want to add not caring how far its heard, that with the technology developed to penetrate so deep into the community no one wants to give end user the benefit in terms of price ......this is the major reason for such illegal use of someone's property....... note this is an era where Zzzzeeeerroooooo wins :)
its been many months since I logged into that site. one day I came back there to download a couple stuff and I couldn't download anything unless I uploaded the track. a couple weeks later it shut down. artists spending time with fans is surely unthinkable, artists has billions of fans and its really hard to get friendly or personal. its true you can use sites to download audio found from youtube, and WMG does remove certain videos. but youtube is run by bots, and anyone can get around these bots
I was fucking sad cause I logged onto this EVERYDAY. Me and my cousin made mixes every week. I go to log in one day and it says 'save all mixes because jamglue will be shutting down the site''. I was like WTF, that just crushed everything we were doing.
its bullshit i didnt even download music i actually mixed and now i cant find a website everybody whos freaking out because you cant download your music ant more FUCK YOU
sucks about the whole jam glue thing . . always kinda figured it was about uploadin other artists work . . comin from an artist perspective . . the whole stop bein so greedy thing sounded a lil crazy . . they worked hard to put out that music . . and aint really askin for too much . . an albums like 14$ if you respect the artist enough, why let em flop? they put enough time into touring and arent home often depending on their status . . they definitely give the fans alot of their time . .
Ok yes jamglue did have illegal son.. stuff in their library but one thing they could have done is make there own program like audacity or only use their own tracks/sounds there is loads of CC (Creative commons) that means free to use
jamglue was the best site of all. yuh knw i dnt care anymore. the white ppl done making a tone load of money lets see how black ppl going to make. they have act in movies & get deals from sponsors to stay afloat. jamglue came like a free advertising to some artist & major artiste with there latest songs. anhhew to bad 4 jamglue but that not going to stop ppl from downloading illegally. dnt come after me i stop a long time ago.
jamglue was the best site for instrumentals and acapellas... that's where I got all my stuff from, and now it's gone. the only thing to remember the running site by now is screenshots and videos of when it was still "alive". I'll always remember what it said next to my username: Glue it to the man, SonicEditingChannel! lol apparently "the man" got 'em for other people's actions. I miss jamglue.
they knew about the copyrighted stuff but in my opinion didnt really care because if you think about it, it would bring more traffic into there site anyway and make them more money. so since your going to get sued why not make as much as possible before you go down.
My Music Was On Jamglue and I had alot of hits on there... to listen to my music "msfortune" go to my channel and tell me what u think.=) female artist from chicago
i love this movie lol and yea your right its all about the fans....0_o R.I.P. michael jackson/ janet jackson and the rest of you keep doing what your doing know matter how old or tired you get and never give up....and if anyone see this, this message has been brought to you by "frostin flakes" THeerrrreeeeeeeeee Grrreeeaaat!!! lol
Damn im hearing every1's frustration with it being shutdown. I feel ALL of ya'll..I remember it was like '08 and I forgot what beat I was looking for and low and behold jamglue comes up through google..so i click on it and i see that you can do mixes of songs, put song effects,a whole bunch of things, and i was only looking for a beat lol. Long story short it became one of my two favorite sites for getting music(the other i'll say in a min). I even ended up putting my music on there and meeting
some cool ppl on there who supported my music when i started networking a little. I wasnt even going hard with it but when i did i was actually getting positive responses from ppl all over, and i respected that. To me, jamglue,as far as the users go,was like a small underground community where artists could show their talent and trade music with others and get feedback and just connect with cool heads you know? Not blaming the owners of the site but i think that some users might of not under-
stood exactly what the licenses stood for,as far as mixing the music and using artists' work and whutnot. I mean I cant even front, the more i became familiar with the site, the more i started going to it for downloading mainstream artists music and beats. Eventually I put my own songs i wasnt into putting any mixes out but the songs that i did i always gave credit to the producer of the beat and and stated that it didnt belong to me just to be on the safe side.
Overall im a little bummed that the site shut down(im not worried bout my songs cuz i have all of em) but i guess it was only a matter of time. Im going to miss connecting with the ppl tho to be honest but if anyone who knew me ever reads this my name was LOUIE BLANCO on the site so shoutout to all those i had connected with and shared music with. Keep doing your thing. But for those looking for music and beats(mixtapes of the sort)i's suggest the other website i go to for my music
R.I.P Jamglue, I made over 50 mixes and now they just shut down so I couldn't download them anymore :,(. I also downloaded like 500 songs from there and got many friends and fans. My whole carrier is destroyed :,(.
damn... this suxxx. i keep hearing this song that i remember was a contest by 2 new artists, it had a funny beat with a funny ass video. "open up they trunk, bass bass crazy kickin....... so now that i cant check and see recent contests. does anyone know what that song is called
so weird, i was getting music from the internet and for some reason It wasnt working. So I said fuck you, you crappy website, I'll get my music from jamglue.
As I am cursing that webpage i go to jamglue and it says its Shut down.
fuckin bullshit i use to create a whole bunch of mixes on that site and they got shutdown I can't even get my shit i created on there I feel sorry for ppl who was using the website to getting attention like upcoming djs n shit
jamglue was the shit 2me i joined bacc n late 07 or early 08 and i discovered so many underground artist like icetre, rp productionz and so many others. plus the free mixing program jamglue had was pretty fun 2 use. RIP JAMGLUE, it was fun while it lasted just wish it would last longer.
man i was in love with jamglue....that's freakin stupid....everybody doesn't have money like the stars....but they expect us to spend money like em.....a dollar for a song???....come on man....they're on some real tripmode ish...be for real...))):

It's a sad thing that they shut down Jamglue. It was the only site that allowed any instrumental on there for people to freestyle. I would use it all the time when we would freestyle on my porch. But anyways, I've seen people use Jamglue to download music. It really pissed me off because that was not the purpose of it. In fact, Jamglue was unique as it basically was Virtual DJ on a site without it being so complicated to make a simple mix.
Big ups to the stupid people. why wud they have to upload peoples music on jamglue... i mean if u got it, u got it.. go to other p2p site if u wanna share... if its wasnt for you stupid peoples jamglue would still be there.
WHAT THE FUCK. That shit is fucked up man. Damn that where i got all my music from. I mean they say all this shit about illigally downloading music, but they dont say shit about limewire, or youtube downloader hd. I mean its a site where people upload song to share with other people. its just like sharing music from sombodies ipod.
i used to create loads of mix's until it shut down

rappers like blaq poet, reks, statik selektah termonology should deserve to go platinum

for aspiring music makers. you use acid planet to upload music that you have created. they even have mix contests and prizes going on with artists every month. the site has been going strong for years.

I was like WTF, that just crushed everything we were doing.

sucks about the whole jam glue thing . . always kinda figured it was about uploadin other artists work . . comin from an artist perspective . . the whole stop bein so greedy thing sounded a lil crazy . . they worked hard to put out that music . . and aint really askin for too much . . an albums like 14$ if you respect the artist enough, why let em flop? they put enough time into touring and arent home often depending on their status . . they definitely give the fans alot of their time . .

Ok yes jamglue did have illegal son.. stuff in their library but one thing they could have done is make there own program like audacity or only use their own tracks/sounds there is loads of CC (Creative commons) that means free to use
or make agreements with Itunes or some place...

jamglue was the best site for instrumentals and acapellas... that's where I got all my stuff from, and now it's gone. the only thing to remember the running site by now is screenshots and videos of when it was still "alive". I'll always remember what it said next to my username: Glue it to the man, SonicEditingChannel! lol apparently "the man" got 'em for other people's actions. I miss jamglue.
SonicEditingChannel 1 year ago
they knew about the copyrighted stuff but in my opinion didnt really care because if you think about it, it would bring more traffic into there site anyway and make them more money. so since your going to get sued why not make as much as possible before you go down.

Not blaming the owners of the site but i think that some users might of not under-
NeoNitty 1 year ago
stood exactly what the licenses stood for,as far as mixing the music and using artists' work and whutnot.
NeoNitty 1 year ago
Overall im a little bummed that the site shut down(im not worried bout my songs cuz i have all of em) but i guess it was only a matter of time. Im going to miss connecting with the ppl tho to be honest but if anyone who knew me ever reads this my name was LOUIE BLANCO on the site so shoutout to all those i had connected with and shared music with. Keep doing your thing. But for those looking for music and beats(mixtapes of the sort)i's suggest the other website i go to for my music

In fact, Jamglue was unique as it basically was Virtual DJ on a site without it being so complicated to make a simple mix.

people uploaded original work not remixes. i dont know if you got the memo but putting acapellas onto different instrumentals are called remixes.
i should delete your comments for being so WRONG!
