just wait until all of you see the whole valley from the mountains. AMAZING. Oh, and on the 4th of july, you can drive up in the mountains near the Bountiful temple and watch fire works from there. Infact, you can see a bunch of different views of fireworks from there since you can see the whole valley! Lots of ppl do that every year. :) utah rocks. I've lived there for almost 12 years.

Salt Lake City is beautiful with lots of recreational activities to chose from and doesn't have much a of a night life. The down side to SLC is the bad air, the bad beer and not much is open after 10pm. Great Video by the way...

@secretbandmember2 Educate yourself much? Economy in UT has done tons better than elsewhere in the nation and unemployment has always been low compared to the rest of the US. The LDS church has also done lots to help improve and develope much of SLC, which has always been amazingly clean with crime rates rather low for a city of its size. Unless you know the religion of the people who supposedly "trashed" UT, you shouldn't speak. There's 50/50 chance you'll run into a non-member in SLC.

The crime rate is very low and its a beautiful place. The mormons founded Utah and have been running it since the beginning and if mormons were less judgmental of non mormons and would change liquor laws and focused more on the school system this would be the best place to live in the country.

Salt Lake City is one of the more liberal areas out there. Their mayor's have been democratic for about 30-40 years, and there's at least 3 openly gay council members. SLC also has one of the highest percentage of gay people in the city per capita.

Hi there, September in SLC is usually very warm. I don't think you will need jackets & coats. You could take a sweater just in case, because the weather here in Salt Lake is always unpredictable. The temperature in September is usually in the mid-70's.
