When do they do this at Rim? Is it drama students that do that? Cause I'm in drama and I'd like to know if I'm gonna have to do that... I'm in beginning drama so its probably for advanced huh. I know it seems weird but, if I had a chance to re-enact this, I would totally do it to spread the word... I'm a Freshman though, so I doubt I will be able to do it even if I'm in drama. Do I need to be a senior? This is soooo sad :(
We lost a very close friend to drunk driving a few years back, and to this day i cry even though i was still to young to fully know him. Rest in peace David Lasky.
WOw, the AV department did a nice job with this one, but they really should do it again, the whole announce the name over the speaker and everything so that a new class gets to see it, I don't think just running the video sends a clear enough message.
I'm a freshman at Rim this year and I was wondering when this was going to happen again. My brother passed away in a drunk driving accident and I would love to speak about it.
I was part of the first "Every 15 Minutes" at Rim. It is nice to see the program still going. My sister was also heavily involved and she was Air Lifted her senior year for the program. They recorded her coming into ER and dying. The film was shown the next day. From the time we started the program in '99 or '00 we went at least 8 years, without a student dying in an auto accident. Some of the firefighters that responded in this video were actually there for the first Every 15 Minutes!
Im glad this is getting done I know it gets me especially wen you see someone die in an accident wen the cause was a drunk driver its sad and it still scares me wen i drive thank you guys for making videos like these it needs to be heard and seen dont drink and drive
im a freshmen at rim i havent heard of this i enjoy the school and i thought this was for dead marines im glad its not after im done with HS marine or college medical degree then nazy or army for med drunk driving is bad though ... dont drink in the first place...
I went to rim. I graduated in 02'. I loved that school. It was amazing ever morning when driving there on the bus from crestline I could always see the clouds covering the skyline.
Now I moved away from the mountains and have really good memories from that school.
gosh this hits so close to home, i cant watch it without tearing up, i did this program my senior year in school i was able to be a patient, one of which died and i was flown it a helicopter, it was a great prodgram and then the year later i was a firefighter respondign to help to the rescues for the program, i have been a firefighter for 5 years now and this still hits. its so heart breaking to see this happening in our world but this is a major issues all over the place. learn from this!
Most amazing couple days in my life. It was too emotional to describe considering how many people died up on the mountain that year. If anyone ever has the chance to do this at their school I would sincerely recommend it
I remember that day.. it really made a difference with us.. it scared the shit outta me at 1st cuz I thought it said 08'... I almost cried but then I remembered lol wheeeew
This is coming up at my school in about a month and i was chosen to be apart of it... its about to be an emotional rollercoaster like no other. But its a once in a lifetime opprotunity
if I said that it was real, would it impact you more??
No, this is a simulation of what really happens when people drive drunk. But let it serve as a reminder. I'm glad we got the point across to at least one person.
it was cars that had already been in accidents and you cant act in it till your a senior or a jonior and because of budget cuts they dot play it any more.
The cars are already wrecked cars donated by one of the local tow companies. The students play the parts (the victims, the drunk driver, etc). Other community members help out. The school's Audio Visual Department produces the video.
I know this may sound really weird...But I really want to do that! I am TOTALLY AGAINST drunk driving and I want to help spread the message... of corse... I don't get to do it until my senior year:( but it is close...ish...I'm a sophomore...
what's the name of the last song? My high school does "Every 15 minutes" and many of my friends are going to "Die" and theres gonna be a grim reaper there.

violetheartable 2 years ago
they take cars from junk yards, that are already totaled, and you have to usually be a Jr. or senior to play a part in these at your school.
marissa752 2 years ago
this is an actual live simulation- but the AV department will film it and make it into a "movie"
