@mrawesomesauce888 Well you do know macbook air sucks shit and has like nothing macbook pros do, like dvd trays and shit. Don't be such a dick when replying.
@flysafely its really not that hard, get those parts and plug them in, everything is pretty explanitory, only thing I didnt understand before this vid was where the port was on the laptop, macs are kind of ghetto. They go against the law, and actually its not that hard to understand him.
@FatalBlur Hi Fatalblur, my comment wasn't about the how-to part of the video but rather that I was agreeing with at least one other who said they couldn't understand because of slurred speech--which I agreed with. (Lack of) Enunciation was what made it a bit difficult for me to understand not the content part.
@flysafely Hi flysafely, I did not realize we were speaking in a formal tone of speech, either way, I apologize for the lack of understanding of your post. Moreover, thankyou for understanding my ignorance and stupidity.
I have an older macbook '09 white model. When I plug it into my T.V. ( It's a HDTV) It says "Signal is not compatible with this input" Any help? Much appreciated
it works my screens just don't match up. i have to drag things all the way to the right of my mac book just to see it on my monitor, how can i fix this problem?
@boniet100 Go to System Preferences via the Apple logo on the top left --> Click Displays --> and then click the tab at the top (cant remember which one) --> and you want to "Mirror" the displays
i see your xbox in the back do you have a xbox VGA cable if so is it compatible with the xbox VGA cable, like get a splitter to split the VGA cables from the computer to the xbox to the macbook? also would you be able to get audio?please plea reply or message me
no point in buying an iMac really... I just bought a sweet HDTV and use that with my macbook lol and when I gotta go somewhere bam I just disconnect my laptop
Really!? I don't think that it should be as complicated as you make it seem. Well maybe not complicated in a technical stand point, but more like "out of the way" complicated.
Can anyone help me please, when I connect my MacBook Pro to my tv with mini display port to vga it works fine when my mac is open, but when I close it, it says out of range!?
I do have one question. Considering how cheap monitors are nowadays, and how even with all the adaptors and cables you need it still doesn't add up to that much. Why on earth would anyone buy apple's cinema display considering it costs about 4 times as much as a regular screen.
QUESTION: MY MACBOOK SCREEN ISNT WORKING BUT IT POWERS AND MAKES SOUND. I HAVE AL THE CABLES NEEDED. I PLUG IT IN AND ALL IT DISPLAYS IS THE DEKSTOP SCREEN WITH NO APPLICATIONS. THE PEOPLE AT APPLE SAID THATS ALL THE CABLES I NEEDED. I ALSO TOLD THEM MY SCREEN DOESNT WORK. THEY SAID IT SHOULD WORK EVEN THOUGH MY SCREEN ISNT WORKING> PLEASE HELP
The TV isn't that much larger than the 13"s own screen. And by using VGA, it's bound to look worse. It's also a bit confusing to the noobs to be showing a VGA setup, when you should just be using MD Port to HDMI -- carrying the audio as well to your TV.
ok say im running logic and i wanna do this so that i can have my mix window and my arrange window side by side, can i use both monitors? like as if i had two monitors? or do i have to use one or the other?
I have a question. This info is useful but i have a 2009 imac, its a desktop all one piece. I also have a minidisplay port, but i only have an hdmi port on my hdtv, would it work with hdmi and an imac. can someone answer this
Hey, I want to buy a new monitor to my macbook pro to see the games more clearly and to play in a more comfortable way.. The question is, if I connect the Macbook Pro into the monitor, will it be able to play on higher resolution? or I will able to play with the original resolutions that the macbook pro's lcd can produce? So basically if the macbook pro's video card can produce bigger resolutions, that's the question:) thanks for the video, everything seems more clearlier now:)
@CRPritch20 any keyboard and mouse, i use microsoft displays and keyboards and mice not because im a windows fanboy, because they are cheaper than a 999$ display and a 29$ mini display port. instead a can get a 200$ 27 inch microsoft display, 5$ mini display port.
I've hooked it all up, everything's fine, just got one problem. I can't view Safari on the tv. When i open it, it shows up on my macbook and not the tv. Is there no way you can put it in the highest res on your TV without having to shut the macbook and therefore having to get another keyboard/mouse to use?
Is there any way to make the mini display port a import instead of a outport, so I could you make macbook pro as a monitor instead of the other way around?? I know its possible for iMacs . Thanks

@l3mm1w1nk5 I FIGURED THIS OUT AFTER HIOURS OF PAINFUL TRIAL AND ERROR. IF YOU'RE ALSO USING THE INSIGNIA LED-LCD 22 INCH 1080P THAT I AM TRY THIS: MENU -> PICTURE --> ADVANCED VIDEO --> OVERSCAN. TURN OVERSCAN OFF. AS SOON AS YOU DO THIS IT SHOULD WORK! GOOD LUCK

Hey dude, just to say we were having real troubles with it and thanks to you and this video youve made it possible. now having fun with projector and tv, thanks alot mate, its really made life better you genius haha
Is it worth getting a macbook pro for connecting to a monitor and wireless keyboard? That way I can get the best of both worlds for desktop and portable computing.

GOOD LUCK

YOUR MAC SHOULD BE SET TO HAVE THE OVERSCAN BOX CHECKED WITHIN THE APPLE DISPLAY SETTING PAGE. I DID NOT HAVE MUCH LUCK WITH MIRRORED IMAGES CHECKED.

Is it worth getting a macbook pro for connecting to a monitor and wireless keyboard? That way I can get the best of both worlds for desktop and portable computing.
