@foogama I don't know, it could be something for the knee. However, if you are refering to the way I pronounce Nikon, that is the way the Japanese pronounce it and also the correct way. It is similar to the i in Nisan.
so on when using bulb you press the button once to open shutter then leave it for as long as you need to and then press it once again to close the shutter?
@TheBromosapien As mentioned in the video, the remote control is basically a wireless shuter release. It will stay open depending on the shutter speed settings on your camera.
@fadeddreemz No, when you have it in BULB and remote control function enabled, you press the button on the remote once to open, then when you are ready, press it again to close the shutter.
@TrojanDude26 Unfortunately, there is no remote control that control the video and the reason I think they did not develop a remote control for video is because the Nikon D5000 is meant to be a still camera, the video feature is just an add on. Anymore questions please be sure to reply!
You cannot do continous release while using the remote. You can only do either single or 2 second delay single shots. Hopefully Nikon will have a firmware update and it will allow it to do continous shooting with the remote. I will post a video on that if they do come out with a firmware update. Anymore questions please reply!
Yes it will. If you need to use and you are in the back of the camera, then use the self timer or the wired shutter release button which I think they do make for the D40x.
I have a remote for my Nikon D5000 ML-L3 and I do what you say on your video and it won't work. I know the battery is good. I also notice when I have it on the mode for the remote that I cannot take a picture pressing the shutter button on the camera. Am I doing something wrong? Please help soon, I hope. I wanted this to work for Christmas and it is not working.
So in Bulb mode Do I Have to press all the time the shutter??? or You only have to press it ONCE and you can LIGHT PAINT.. all the time you want??? and then you have to press it again to close the shutter?
When it is in BULB mode, its whenever you release your finger off the shutter button is when the shutter closes. But with the remote control, its called TIME. See you press the button ONCE and it opens, when you want it to close, then press it ONCE again. Make sense now?
No, I had it in manual focus in the demonstration so it could take a picture faster and not waste time. If you have the focus mode on your lens to A, it will automatically focus and take a picture all at the same time when you press the button on the remote control ONCE. The button is only one press, not two presses like the shutter button on the camera body. You can also have it in manual focus as well. Anymore questions please reply!
