It would be nice (and different) if someone posted their best of the magazine entry games from Compute! or COmpute Gazzette or Commodore Magazine, etc. You know, back when you spent 5 hours typing in a code...
I agree. I typed in (and learned basic programming) some good games from Commodore info, andd a book called 'the big listing book'. someone should scan..
The problem with the Breadbox 360 is that when you get the red ring of death it burns your toast ;-) Great video as always. I vaguely remember playing Thrust. I think there was a sequel for it too.
Yes, there was a sequel to Thrust, but sadly it wasn´t that faithful at all. But if you think about it, I should really review it in the future. Btw:Thanks for your nice comment!
Yus, another great 2econd 2tage C64 video. I love it! Barbarian II is great, I played it after Dentolux reviewed it. I really like the variety you are showing in these videos, I saw a lot of space-set shooters that I haven't seen, or played in YEARS. I have never even heard of Uridium though; may check it out. Great video, 5 stars as always *****
Never heard of Uridium?? That was one of the really famous C64 games of it's era. Pretty nice video by the way, although the reviews sound like they are read from paper. It's always good to see different viewpoints to the C64 classics. The C64 has so many good games that I don't think you will have enough time to make this kind of review of all the good ones, but great effort anyways (-8
You know, since my mother tongue is german I (sometimes) have to write down some lines to avoid constant stuttering^^ But believe me, no matter if I say my thoughts in german or in english, all of them came and will come from myself and my experiences of the days back then. But still: nice to know, you enjoyed it!
Np - sure, I understand it. I don't stutter so much speaking english (it's my second language too), but if I was making a video, that would make me so nervous I would constantly lose my train of thought anyways, so I think I'd use a similar trick :) BUT that wasn't my criticism anyawys, I simply meant that perhaps it would be possible to rehearse it somehow so that it wouldn't SOUND like reading from the paper, hehe. No big deal anyway, it's a good video with positive energy and attitude!
Yeah I never heard of it. I'm only 18, and so I grew up in a time where the 16 bit era was starting to kick off, so it's a shame I never had the childhood experience of the C64, which I rediscovered years later when I bought one (I think I was 15, or so). It's in the attic now and I use emulation stuff to play the games. Will have to get Uridium and give it a go.
Oh.. I always forget there are people who are born in the 80's (it's hard to understand somehow :)), and even *Gasp* the 90's! AND even.. in the 00's! Agh, it's too much.. But your case is very SAD, because it's not your fault, really. And I know several other cases like yours, it's always such a bummer, for how could we offer people great 80's childhood memories in the 00's? Makes me realize how fortunate I was to be born in the 70's so that I found out about CBM computers when I was about 7-8.
Great video!!

It was called a breadbox because of it's shape. It was very competitively priced with other machines that had much less power and bells and whistles!

Do you know why it was called the bread box? Because it cost a lot of dough...

The Breadbox 360 XD...I second that! Funny idea!

Thanks! Dank der VC bei der WII/Emulatoren kann man die C64-Zeit ja nochmal miterleben.
Aber wenn Du eine bekommen könntest (bei EBay oder so)... zöger nicht lange! Es lohnt sich ;)
