  • Very well played! Complicated / difficult arrangement...Reminds me of my dad's playing...Again, very well done.

  • @1953MMike Thank you. I appreciate your kind words.

  • Awesome song and video!

  • @PhilFeedback Thanks very much.

  • Very nice! Do you have tab for this?

  • @cage35 Thank you. I'm sorry but I play strictly by ear and cannot read music or tabs so I'm afraid I can't be of service to you, sorry.

  • great playing.thanks for sharing this.loved it.even better arrangement than Tommy emmanuel's.

  • @BazineNabil WOW! Now that is a compliment. Tommy is one phenomenal guitarist. Thank you very much.

  • Great tone, nice performance. Nice Axe - you should be smiling always with a nice archtop like that.

I do see a 1950s Thunderbird model, Fabreeze and a Bear in the window! Somehow, this add to the performance.

  • Thanks. I wasn't smiling because that was the final day I owned that guitar. Due to illness and financial woes, I had to sell it and after I did these YouTube videos for my daughter, I packed up the guitar never to play it again.

I do collect diecast American cars and motorcycles, Bear is my nickname, and the Fabreeze was for the broccoli I had for dinner. :)

  • Very nice arrangement. Good playing. Very good tone of your D'Angelico. Give us more of this.

  • Thank you! I no longer have the D'Angelico as it never really gave me what I was looking for. I now have a Gretsch Chet Atkins Nashvile double cutaway that I find to be the ultimate guitar for me.

  • febreze air effects....essential for enjoying the smell of playing :P nice playing my good man....

  • Thanks! I find the fresh linen fragrance inspirational. :-D

  • beautiful. did you arrange this yourself?

  • Thank you very much. Yes, that is my own arrangement. I'm pleased that you enjoyed it.

  • Nice tone. Nice playing. I like this.

  • Thank you Allen. Your version of the song was outstanding. What classical are you playing? The tone is exceptional as is your technique.

  • Thank you.

I am playing a custom archtop that I designed and commissioned from Tom Ribbecke.

Back and sides are master grade cello wood. Top is Alaskan spruce. Bridge, pick guard, tail piece and fretboard all Ebony. No binding.

I wish I could take credit for the tone. Ribbecke is a wizard with wood.

    Cheers,

    allen
