@commando7144 I personally would still pay $500.00 for one in perfect condition, complete and with the OHSC. I got this one for much less and it met all of my requirements. It's the only Rhoads shaped guitar that can give you some squeaky clean Telecaster sounds. Very cool stuff here.
@LWRCftw Yeah, these are such cool axes. You don't find many of this particular one, but if you can find a clean one.....you gotta grab one up. Just way cool!
Hey Scott. I love the EMGs for u can get a good country sound out of them with no distortion but clean. Talk about a hot country sound with some crunch. They are awesome and probably my favorite ones. It don't matter what kind of pick ups a guitar has. I'm guitarted and just love them and want more. I got a couple new ones coming soon so am excited so. Cool guitar Scott. All ur guitars are awesome man. Take care. By the way how is the weather there where u are?
@jeraldsrestoration Hi there my friend! It's great here, still in the 90's! Yeah, the EMG's will do anything you ask of them. You just have to realize that they are not conventional pickups and you can't treat them as such. Guitars with active pickups are a whole new ball game and most folks who don't like them simply don't understand how to work with them. If they did, they would never go back. lol We're all guitarded to some degree. lol I'm more guitarded than most I think. lol
Great review once again. I really dig your videos, always learning something about the way a guitar is made and about some licks and technics you demonstrate while playing around.
Is it a white Peavey Mystic behind you on the left? I just bought a Peavey Razer some weeks ago (damn I like this crazy shape and the overall quality of the build).
@raphory Thank you very much my friend. Yes, that is the Mystic. Exactly the same as your Razer except for the shape. I've been looking for a clean, white Razer for a while. I love those things. I'm sure you know where the Razer's shape came from.....for those who don't, it's simply the old Peavey logo made into a body shape. That's all it is. So, if you had a guitar sized Peavey logo from the 80's and just kept painting it and painting it until it covered the letters, you would have a Razer.
@024leoj Thank you very much. Yeah, these are just too cool. They pop up a couple of times a month on Ebay. That's where I found this one. Like I pointed out. I'm just a condition freak and was waiting to find one in really good shape to pull the trigger on. But, you can grab them for a real world price and get a much better guitar than what's being made now for that price for sure. So, I hope you really do land one for yourself. Totally worth it! Thanks again.
@JohnsGuitar777 Hi my friend. I've owned a few over the decades. I've picked them up in trades. They used to be fair guitars back in the 80's. I only agree to take them in on trades now because I know that I can unload them on teenagers because they fall for these things. But they are simply awful guitars. Nothing worth owning at all. They offer lots of cool looking, fake tops and fake abalone and mother of pearl looking stuff to spruce up the looks and the kids eat it up. Not Good Stuff
@TheDeathStar1990 If you are going to use a whammy and use it a lot, the the Floyd is the only way to go. Anything else involving a locking nut that is mounted behind your standard nut will not (because of pure physics) stay in tune. Having the Floyd style nut is the one and only way to stay in tune and to have a double locking system. Being locked at the nut but not on the other end is still going to make you go out of tune because of the ball end shifting positions during dive bombing.
I think the guitar gets scratched because people who used it only had one or a few guitars. The guitar ends up being played day in day out. Somewhat like your pink paisley strat that is pretty beaten up already I guess.
By the way I am trying to buy an Ibanez Rocket Roll from ebay. It has the original tuners. I can live with them being changed, so I will give you a sign If I get my hands on the instrument
@Guitarvirtuoso666 I know the Ibanez you are looking at, it has a Seymour Duncan in it. Yeah, on the guitar condition, I finally found out it was those damned shirt buttons from those Garth Brooks type of shirts that messed up the guitars. I have put a single scratch on any guitar in the past 10 years. Yeah, let me know if you land that axe!
@groovydjs Oh yeah, That looks like it tear any metal head's guitar to shreds. Because you can do just simple licks and people would rather hear that then penatonic scales. or Lick a Lesbian scales stuff like that. Who cares about all of that. Really?
@FloydRoseDiscovery Yeah, great and cleassic design and it will pull out the country tones as good as any guitar will. Some folks over think the guitar and simply can't go on a stage and play along with a simple 3 chord song, play a solo from their heart instead of their head. Quite sad.
@keithgatti Yeah, I really love whipping guitars like these out on the classic country folks. I'll always do country proud for sure, but it's that KISS side in me that loves to whip out the wacky axes.
@CraigSpannier I hear you. Guitars are so very uninspired these days. I can't believe this guitar is 20 years old already. As us geezers say "it seemed like just yesterday........". lol
Thank you very much. Yeah, some days you just don't feel like washing the hair. lol. These really are pretty cool guitars and for them to remember us single coil guys when designing the pointy guitars was nice of them.
Beautiful

Wow, I love this one better then a original tele. Because this guitar I could get tele, strat, humbucker for like 80's rock. It can do it all.
