You know...I loved seeing this. As someone who has been watching Looney Tunes their whole lives, I've seen them all so many times that getting to see something previously unreleased is really awesome. There are some great gags in this cartoon that I hadn't seen before, and that's pretty strange considering how often Freling reused gags, you'd thing some would carry over into his other cartoons. Closest thing would be Yosemite Sam who is a cowboy and whose temperament is more about him being small(closer to a napoleon complex). None of which fit the redneck stereotype. Those aren't racial stereotypes(race based). That aside, the overall situation is like any other bugs cartoon.

Hm. I read about this short being part of the "Censored Eleven" and expected it to be way worse. This is Elmer Fudd in blackface, only with fewer racial stereotypes. He's got caricature-big lips and huge flapping feet... and that's it.
Other than that, he's seriously just Elmer Fudd. There's something wrong with our society when you can show a white buffoon all day but when you do the same exact thing with a black character everyone gets all butthurt...

You know...I loved seeing this. As someone who has been watching Looney Tunes their whole lives, I've seen them all so many times that getting to see something previously unreleased is really awesome. There are some great gags in this cartoon that I hadn't seen before, and that's pretty strange considering how often Freling reused gags, you'd thing some would carry over into his other cartoons. Anyway, awesome video, thanks!
