Watching this again, I recall two things.

1: My initial thoughts of Aeris's death. What if people played the RPG's I've played? Would the lists be different or still the same?

2: Why the story mode of every Call of Duty always gets bashed on after Modern Warfare. It's impossible to top the nuke without resorting to something Indiana Jones ridiculous. Sad how people will always expect better, even when it's not possible to do so.

first time i played ff7, my jaw dropped when aeris was killed. i had leveled her and done the side missions with her, and she was a part of the team. the music playing only amplified my rage, and during the jenova battle, i showed no mercy, and took out all my anger and depression over aeris on her.

@Corgblam To add to it, they keep playing the Aerith theme during the boss battle rather than switching to the Jenova theme or the usual boss theme. As if to say "this fight isn't going to be exciting" the game keeps the sadness up and instead of being adrenaline pumped your still feeling the added shock and sadness at the loss of one of your companions.

I know that your not allowed to say you like FFVII these days but can't help but admit that scene and the after math were done effectively.

I liked the Psycho Mantis bit a lot when playing MGS1 on the pc because I remember that I used a USB controller to play it and in order to beat him I had to use my keyboard (making the fight a bit toughter).

@doggehbark Actually (excuse me geekyness) , they couldn't have. Aerith died (as in actual death). When somebody falls in battle, they're "KO-ed," which is like being close to death. A Phoenix Down works like a smelling salt, and wakes them up from their near death state.

Final fantasy 7 is the only game I ever cried in, Close in the original MGS though. I actually finished that game about 12 years ago now and that scene still makes me sad watching it today. It was such an epic game.
