you can see only hip hoppies doing this... no-one else is playing his music out loud on mobiles except them... it's really funny to see those kids, hangin' at the corner with their rapmusic playin' out loud and making those tough faces and gestures...
and that girl is really paranoid... a sheep scared and brainwashed by a television... sad
its respectful to not blast your music to other people and its not the same as people talking although i do understand some people talking can be very obnoxious and loud but this just showed selfishness more than anything else really i mean wait til you get where your going to listen to your music dont force everyone else to hear it
When I was in London, between '04-'06, there was something called "Happy Slapping" or Fun slapping or such. Young people, usually teenagers, would slap someone for fun. They usually go in group of 3-5 or more and would approach defenseless people, who would go alone, old, women etc. It was bad, many suffered pain and trauma. Londoners have weird crime.
Yeah, I don't ask people to stop talking on their cell phones when I'm in their vicinity. because I'm a nice guy. Oh, and I blare my music on the trolley because I'm a passive aggressive prick. Just ask me nicely to turn down my music, i might not stab you;)
I guess maybe because I live in America, this video seemed to be on the side of pointless.
Listening to music goes with freedom of speech, and I'm for freedom of speech. But as a general rule I do think it'd be more polite to wear headphones. It seemed to me the guys with the phones were making excuses to be obnoxious, especially when explained it in a way as retaliation for having to listen to phone conversations. Part of their "image" is to be obnoxious, on purpose.
What I got from this is that she is paranoid and everyone is inconsiderate, from those who talk loudly to those who play music loudly. If people just learned to ask politely it wouldn't be such a big deal.
In Poland walking down the street and listening to music on mobile phone is dangerous. You soon may be robbed or beaten.. ;) so not many people liste to music loud on their phones. Usually on headphones.
hmm for some reason i got a racist vibe from this and also the woman's paranoid if u dont feel safe take up a self defense class to protect yourself damn
Watch again, the girl is only shown around the guy within a context that could easily be seen as just a guy walking down the street, by chance going to the same bus stop, catching the same local bus.
There is zero reason (in my opinion from what was shown) to leap to the conclusion that either of these people had any knowledgeable connection to the other.
Everyone does like music, but everybode has their own style. And I might not want to listen to your music!!! So by using headphones, you respecting others. Imagine, if everyone on a bus or train would turn their music on??? PLEASE use your HEADPHONES, and RESPECT others!!!
It's one thing to have your music playing aloud while walking down the street or something, but in a confined space like a bus, you are just being a douche.
I'm a DJ from the US & I used to play my music loud in my car when I was a teen, I'm now 32 & usually think it's rude. Thanks 2 your video, I see a bigger reason, it's not to be rude, it's just an expression of something that makes you happy...music.
It makes people happy, but not everyone appreciates the same music.
I agree, if you want me to turn my music down, turn down your voice as well. Sometimes it's just a cultural thing. Everyone has their own moral code, none the better.
I'm no young guy but I can sort of defend anybody who wants to listen to their music. As long as they have earphones & aren't blasting it up to heaven then what's the big deal? There is nothing threatening about anybody playing their music loud. Who wrote the description of this video?!?
its really rude to blast music on the bus or in public areas in general. it's not like they can't buy headphones or that they don't know that their loud music is irritating. Pretty much choosing to be buttholes. Everyone likes music, not everyone plays their music loud.
maybe you don't know cuz ur white, but when you're not white, people treat you like your existance is an affront to them no matter what you do. might as well play the roll if everybody thinks you're a villain already
Yeah, just give them real reasons to hate you, to beat you for looking at "their" women, even worse- to lynch you for getting more attention from "their" women then they do.
Does "playing the roll" make life better for all those who don't; those who are professionals, those who are innocent, those who are actively trying to make better lives for their families & all the others who look like them yet to come?
Our enemy loves it when people think like that. Don't help them win.
Can't they just get a real Mp3 player for a couple of $? hell i can get a cheap 2gb player off ebay for $4 plus shipping, and they come with something that is very nice called earphones. These guys are nothing but assholes seriously.
if you have your music playing out loud here you'll be sure to get told and put in your place!
Theres nothing more annoying then having to hear someone elses music, we dont all have the same taste in music. Sometimes the music they play can be very vulgar and degrading.
And someone talking on their phone is not equal to playing music. Plain and simple.
im not as old as you think so no i don't remember boom boxes STUPID.
and where i live (california) we respect others by not being loud and obnoxious and like i said if you don't respect you will get told, by either others around your or by the bus driver.
They don't do it in a rude manner. If you play your music loud in your car you get a ticket. So why should it be different on public transportation? Yeah you must have been in the ghetto btw.
someone talking on their phone IS equal someone playing music. i dont want to hear your bullshit conversation against my will just like you dont want to hear anyone else's bullshit taste in music against your will.
I guess it's a different culture, or maybe just a different view point, but, I didn't know people still reacted to loud music like that women did. Loud music =/= violence. Seriously.
It's not the music, its the image. It's like wearing unique shoes, or a hat, it says something about you that you want to express. Hell, even wearing headphones is part of an image as well!
I got my first cell phone last year, I was 24. What a world of nonsense we live in.

With CCTV this woman is just paranoid (possibly racist) and has nothing to really worry about. That is a SIGNIFICANT drop in crime.

You are assuming the interviewer told her about other people that were interviewed...
Nothing in this piece gave me that impression.

I don't know in my opinion the odds of that not being staged or of them having no knowledge of each other is pretty slim
