that's because I have seen some photos taken in Chengdu, a Chinese city, and these photos shows human bodies with the heads cut open... very gross. and the clothes shows clearly that they are not Tibetans. well, the government may be blocking reporters, but they can't block the redidents.
I don't know how Chinese government is dealing with these rioters, but it is a sad fact that people are killing each other!

Do you know that 86,000 native Americans VOLUNTARILY enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam war? Half of them went into combat to fight communist oppression. Native Indians also fought in Korea once again to fight communist oppression. Even Canadians native Indians volunteered to to fight in Vietnam! If you don't believe me, check yourself!

Native Americans also volunteered for the USMC during Vietnam war. One of my brothers in my combat team with the 5th Marines was: he watched my back, and I had his. We weren't there to steal Vietnamese land, etc, we were there to defend them from same kind of ruthless scum that are now shooting monks/laypeople in the back in Tibet. Because you do not know how to think reasonably - that is part of being Chinese. Chinese society is not based on reason but on in-group/out-group dynamics. For example, if you are not Han, you have no rights. If you are not in the Party, you have no rights, etc...

The comments on YouTube should show to Westerners that the average Chinese is a foul-mouthed and unreasonable nationalist fanatic. Although the average American patriot is as brainwashed as a Chinese, many Chinese famlies were slaves only a few decades ago. The strides made in public education and health are worth noting since 1911. But literacy standards in China are very low and the constantly changing language standards confound attempts to get beyond rote memorization and groupthink.

Anyways, the monk speaks Mandarin Chinese at around 2:17, basically for parts where they are dubbing over him, it's probably because the reporters have an easier time translating if it's in Mandarin. And why would it be fake? They're forced to learn Mandarin just like Mongolians at Inner Mongolia are as well. Plus the report clearly stated that over half the town is Tibetan. Who do you think the other half is? And how do you think the two halves communicate?

All people should have a right to do whatever they want, within reason. Freedom is a falsehood in any society; however, it is the people who put the government in power. People give up some of their freedoms and allow for certain members of society to rule them because the general masses are either too lazy or too stupid to control themselves. The fact is that WE put government in control and WE can take it away. It just takes enough people to do it. Not happy with your goverment? Do something.

This is truly sad. In the past, China has suppressed other religions in other minority groups. However, I see that there has been progress and changes in just the last decade or so. Still, the country really needs to unite together or there will be another Civil War amongst the people living in China. May there be hope for all of those people.
