Im a saftey crew worker at the track in saskatoon and i admmitt we arnt as big as a track but we dont take 3 hours to get to the crash.

Yes actually it is an awesome track, it's wicked fast and bumpy though and just horribly run. The safety crews are in the center of the infield track surrounded by a wall, so getting to a wreck takes forever unless it's on the front stretch. Any track this fast and run by ARCA for god's sake ought to have a dedicated fire rig like Kalamazoo does, as well as safer barriers.

I have seen plenty of serious crashes at Toledo. As usual the safety crew takes for freaking ever to get to the wreck. How long were these cars sitting there before anyone got there. Why is there only one safety truck parked in the 1/6th mile and not in center, end of pit row off turn two, and in 3 and 4. It's ridiculous. You'd think after the Ron Allen inferno that ARCA would get a clue.

Not to lessen the seriousness of that crash, but I've been to hundreds of races at Toledo Speedway and have only seen that one crash that was that serious.

Accidents happen. It's part of the sport, albeit a very unpleasant one. I guess it would be like driving past a hospital and rather than thinking of all the of good that goes on there, you focus on the inevitable negative outcomes.

I remember 2000 as the year Scott Baker died in an ARCA crash at Toledo. Great little racetrack, but I just can't shake that image from my mind.
