  • Wayne Hussey Vocals is excellent.

  • garden of delight`s 1985 Sistershood band song

garden of delight`s 1986 the mission uk band song (the first chapter LP)

  • This sounds like the demo version that was recorded by Wayne and Craig after Hussey had spent a month in Hamburg getting musical ideas together with Andrew Eldritch. Wayne wrote the Lyrics and Music , Eldritch did sing on a later version of this , but I'm convinced that this is The Sisters of Mercy as that definatley sounds like Doktor Avalance on drums ...... just sounds like a drum machine !!

  • Eldritch's voice is too low-pitched for my taste. Hussey's sounds more natural, in my opinion.

  • Please bring back the 80ies and put even more goths in it.

  • Hey! Both band were great! Love the total different sound from each the Mission and the Sisters! But I have to say the Mission were the way better of the two live!! Especially back in the Simon days, with Craig and Adam. Blu Nun Baby!!!

  • @TopherFire i totally agree!

  • i Saw the S.O.M when i 19 in 1985 and it was First*LAst & ALways with Wayne Hussey, Graig Adams, Andrew Eldritch & Dr. Avalanche with the infamous fog and green light. It was the psychedelic underground. Wished Gary Marx would have played but joined Ghost Dance. All four made the haunting sound rock the ages. FYI, Andrew would never claimed himself & the music, goth!! - Sisters 4 ever

  • I love the Sisters, but I also love the Mission. I love all versions of this song, because it's an awesome song. Both bands are awesome. They are also very different, Andrew's mob were darker and more trancey, Wayne and co. were slightly more of a 'rock' style. Love the bands for what they are.

I know being 19 I wasn't 'there at the time' and blimey, I wish I was so badly, but there's no need to argue.

Long live Goth...or whichever you choose to call it. :D

    Peace out people

  • @stapaxx and ABTE67 - this was originally written for the Sisters of Mercy. As Dekonstrux mentions, there is a version of this with Eldritch on vocals. Same backing instrumentals.

  • Not a Sisters Song. It's the Mission. Take my hands ...

  • @stapaxx is the garden of delight`s the mission uk song DEMO

  • try to get a live version of this song with Eldritch on vocal instead. Way better IMO.

  • ...The Mission and Sisters were originally the same band, you know. Wayne just took his songs with him when he split.

  • is a Mission`s demo

    is not sisters

  • It´s different from Mission´s studio version, it sounds like Sisters...

  • I agree with you

  • This is a Mission Demo, not Sisters...

  • I think that from the moment they separeted, gave us great songs and moments to remember.

  • Wow, Wayne doesn't sound as overly dramatic and wannabe gothy is this version. His sining in the Mission has always irritated me.

  • I dispute this very strongly!

  • RARE

  • It's Wayne Hussey yes, in this same year, the sisters of mercy had recorded "Serpent Kiss" too, but a instrumental version.

  • alwas sounded way better w/ andrews voice. but cool upload!
