I loved CT and Super Metroid. Played both as a kid and even recently. Super Metroid was very well done for it's time.
I also liked harvest moon for some odd reason. Nothing like virtual farming to suck out ungodly time out of my day. The side quests were meh though - I just liked the farming really.

Rare bitch, and it took me ages to get a complete copy- the game, (UNDAMAGED)case, AND insert.. FF.. That and Oddworld were the best games on Playstation.

Oh yeah. The first game had a certain charm that I don't believe Exodus had, but it was probably more "nature" in the levels. Exodus revolved a lot around the bad guys and their factories. Still, the game play in both was incredible.

-c my job b/c of the bitch. When I was pregnant, before I quit work, she told me personally, 'implored' me to consider adoption for the sake of my innocent angel child. She also spread nasty rumours about me and my husband- only a handful of people actually listened or cared, but none of the things she said was decent, and it was all twisted and it hwas her false god, and her holierthanthou attitude and excuse that brought it on and justified it. So I removed her bragging rights w/ Cain's help.

@MorpheusOmikron She attempted to make me lose my job, she attempted to take away my friends, to have me investigated/sent away for crimes I didnt, wouldnt commit, she wheedled out my past and spread it- attempted to make my husband leave me for my being a prostitute when I needed to support myself and my mother. She wanted to hurt me, in some twisted way wrought from her own prejudices and her religion as an excuse, so I simply returned the favor, and did it right. And she knows it was me.

I loved CT and Super Metroid. Played both as a kid and even recently. Super Metroid was very well done for it's time.
I also liked harvest moon for some odd reason. Nothing like virtual farming to suck out ungodly time out of my day. The side quests were meh though - I just liked the farming really.

Oh I love the resident evil series. Just recently did co-op with a friend with RE5. It gets old after a few replays, but it's very fun at first.
Super Metroid WAS expansive. At first, you're like "oh a cool shooty platformer durr" and then an hour later you realize how gigantic the place you're in is.

Never played Einhander, or Secret of Mana. But I remember hearing about secret of mana it when it came out and wanting to play it.
Zombie games are pretty fun I have to admit, hard to screw up. Valve has a really nice one called Killing Floor.
You seem to be the only person who I've heard mention they liked oddworld other than me.
Oddworld + Exodus were freaking amazing. I lost interest in the series after those two, however.

Oh man, if you can ever get a copy of Einhander, play it. It is so amazing a game- I can't explain what it is about it, but the music, the graphics, the platform style and the versatility.... it's unbelievable. Gamegasm. It sucks that Oddworld had so little a fanbase or recognition.

Oh yeah. The first game had a certain charm that I don't believe Exodus had, but it was probably more "nature" in the levels. Exodus revolved a lot around the bad guys and their factories. Still, the game play in both was incredible.
Actually, I want to replay both now...hm. Too bad the cds got lost ._.

I tried to play FF7, but I didn't play it back in the heyday. I played it years and years and years later, and I just didn't have enough nostalgia of the game to get through the fact everybody's torso was a damn triangle.
I did watch that Advent Children thing..very nicely done.

-c new game that catches my eye, but.. it's nothing I'm going to have to devote my life to, like w/ CT or Super Metroid, or Secret of Mana, or the EARLY FF games.. now it's game that, if you apply yourself, you can all but breeze through in five days maximum. Like, Bioshock- fucking INCREDIBLE idea, but.. it was over too soon. I'd have loved more interaction, more time.. or Dead Space- it got so old so fast. Murr, I dunno. I'll check it out- I'm always on the prowl for new media to collect.

It's now crap for money's sake. That sort of behavior decays and ruins all games, so yes, I dare say the old games are far better than the new ones.
If you've never played it, I would recommend Deus Ex (first game).
It's an FPS/RPG...and...possibly the best game mankind has ever made. The sheer genius/music/level design/plot/combat format is just breathtaking.
If DE3 is anything like DE1, be prepared to see a game better than anything in the last ten years, imho.
