  • @Foxxxydelic lol! You'll need to ask Earl. I doubt I'll be more than a one off honourary member.

  • good grief!...i go away for ten minutes and you,re on the piss!

  • @lapisredux Hardly.

  • @Loreleilaa oh i dunno...that,s a pretty big glass of port......for a girl :)

  • @socialscienceman Not sure but the drink would have made it worse. My mothers.

  • I couldn't help but notice that he was drinking a nice bottle of wine, when mentioning you, instead of the usual stuff he drinks!

  • @borgduck Maybe he thought I'd find it more appealing than beer. He'd be right. I can't drink beer ever since I had dysentry when I was 20.

  • I'm more a French Brandy person.

  • @borgduck For medicinal purposes of course :P

  • @Loreleila Yes, until my liver says otherwise.

  • I love " sleeping policeman" analogy to a speed bump. If indeed that's what you were talking about.

  • @owheydusoapsk Yes, that's what I was talking about.

  • About time you got something down ya throat.

    XXX.

  • @popebenadict16 lol! x

  • Any Port In A Storm :))

  • @DarkmoonRising69 And it has indeed been stormy. lol

  • In relation to that image from the magazine. From the look of it there are only two anatomical possibilities; either her legs meet somewhere in the region of her ribcage or she has a 6 inch gap between her upper thighs. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why such a gap might be attractive, probably on a non-conscious level. I've noticed quite a few pics of this kind make subtle references to this mythical space.

  • @conferencereport You could be right, in similar fashion to the absurdely large plastic breasts many women now own. What is curious is that for all the technological, scientific and medical advances people in the West want only to look like cartoon caricatures.

  • @Loreleila You say that like it was bad thing.

    ;)

  • @Loreleila Well, yes, I know the Photo makes them smaller than it's possible to be... Because the Goals as determined by Marketing, & Market- Saturation, long ago went past the achìevable... The Blokes are made insecure by Competant Grownup Women. Unresolved Mother Authority Issues. They find weak young women Unthreatening. The Women want Big Stwong Muscular Pwotective Wallet/Dildos.... Thus, the current Ceasarian Rates !

  • Drink is a bit unreliable as a truth serum. It seems to make many men imagine that they are Giacomo Casanova crossed with Bruce Lee.

  • @petermaquire True, and ironic considering the drunken man is entirely repulsive to most women, other than an equally inebriated one.

  • What marketing wants is (aimed @ women even men) appalling.

Edward Louis Bernays started awful perception marketing:

Documentary "THE CENTURY OF SELF" watch?v=IyPzGUsYyKM

... is re: the origins of marketing destruction of people and some of

the things people have tried to know, critique, and realize ...

    "Winning the Hearts and Minds".

Wars for land, oil, economics, continue, but now its minds.

Old battles continue, care about the minds of the young.

They take care of people when they're old.

  • @waterspindle Thanks for the link. I've saved it, it looks interesting. A lot of what I do here is to try and wake people up from their tendencies to be hypnotised by it all.

  • These coppers sleeping on the job..terrible! Those models don't look attractive to me and they don't show the clothes they are wearing very well. As for the loans. Yes, I heard a lot of discussion on 5 Live about them. They were being portrayed as not in the same category as loan sharks. But I disagree. They are LOAN SHARKS. Its shocking. I don't even use a credit card. I wouldn't trust myself. But I suppose some people are so desperate they have to go to these people.

  • @gizzytiersen The Photoshopped models are a joke. The loan sharks are, I believe, heading towarss being shut down. It's not long since this has come into the awareness of the media and regulators and I don't see how they can allow it to continue without letting us all know how corrupt they are. Loads of young people are trapped in a downward spiral of debt without any chance of bank loans. A lot of them are being made bankrupt. It's really sad.

  • @Loreleila I feel really sorry for young people these days. My parents generation had it so good. Young people are denied the chance of going to University after all the hard work they put in studying. In my day they brought in student loans towards the end. Today bright, talented people have so few opportunties. Even if they come through University they are dragged down by apalling debt and often can only find work in Call Centres on minimum wages and temporary contracts.

  • Was that a twist off cap on a bottle of red wine?

  • @CappitranoBellephant No. As I say in the video its Ruby Port. The cap is a removable and replacable cork.

  • @Loreleila My bad the video quality isn't the greatest I couldn't tell. I know they are starting to use those twist off's with white wine and some blends, that's why I had to ask.

  • @CappitranoBellephant Well I did say but it doesn't matter, lol Most wines that aren't vintage or expensive seem to have a screw top here now.

  • That model looks really disgusting... Enough said.

  • @phekwig Indeed.

  • Cheers Loreleila. That picture of the model made we wonder to what extent our tastes in bodies can be progressively shaped over time. I say this because I've had my kids staying with me over New Year (both 18) and we were talking about beer, and how one has to acquire a taste for it, but once acquired it feels perfectly natural and is as undeniably real as sexual attraction for photoshopped anorexics.

  • @conferencereport I find it both fascinating and disturbing how much pressure there is on us all as we grow up to do and be certain things, many of which are either bad for us or impossible to achieve. Society and the media wants us in a constant state of wanting what we don't or can't have and being biddable because we're addicted to various substances and therefore helpless through, yet see as empowering. So much of that becomes normalised it's not even seen.

  • Earl has a way about him that is amusing, accessible, and simply serious in ways that linger for awhile. You were well up to his call out challenge in this video by doing a type of Earl video. In terms of drinking, I don't much care for it either, but do like the openness that arises at times when drinking at parties. I will make very weak drinks for myself at events so I can better engage ppl as they pass through their curious openness phase. The designated driver excuse also works.

  • @gedgetips It's interesting the way you speak of excuses here, as if it's unacceptable to simply say you don't want to drink. I've experienced similar in the past, that people seem unable to compute you don't want to drink and force them on you as if once you come to your senses you'll get drunk. I've left many a glass by the side of a chair or poured down the sink. For a long time though I've just firmly told people I don't want it.

  • @Loreleila I enjoy modest imbibing, just not getting wasted. A benefit of the designated driver ploy is that it is a way of participating in a useful manner where my "sacrifice" can be appreciated vs my non-drinking ways becoming a distraction.

  • @Loreleila G'day... Well, in 1987 a Local Tribal Elder told me that "People who go barefoot never tread in Dogshit, they pay attention to the Ground they step on..." true story. Tripping over a "Silent Cop" is a great way to become Roadkill; so, please - dinna ye be doin ' that again ! The Models are growing ever skinnier, as part of the whole Sexualisation of the Prepubescent... When Body-Builder breeds with Anorexic, Cephalo-Pelvic Disproportion is inevitable !

  • @WarblesOnALot Doing such things tends to pull me up short and make me realise I'm not attending to anything properly, a sort of overload. Models aren't gettting skinnier, they're being photoshopped into impossible shapes no one could possibly be, and while many realise that others look at their perfectly normal shapes and feel inadequate and insecure. I'm sure it's about more than making them look like children, it's a desire for the unattainable keeping all buying indefinitely.

  • Loreleila: Cheers

    Me: Imbawa!

  • @Serge165 :)

  • I drink large bottles of wine and hard liquor ;)

  • @jollyradical lol! Me and alcohol don't really go together.

  • @Loreleila Apparently. I do hope you didn't make the video unwillingly. It almost seemed like you slapped him on the hand with the wine bottle analogy. Anyway I'm sorry to hear about your stress and injuries. The loan sharks and photoshopped girls I'll leave for another day. Cheers from NY.

  • @jollyradical Not at all. I rarely do anything I don't want to. And there was no slapping, just teasing. Cheers from the wilds of Cornwall.
