Oh, now you are one COOL Dad!!! I LOVE this video, and that your son was a part of it with you!!!! Of course I also thought the journal was great, and I was especially impressed with the braided plastic bag binding!!! I'm always glad to know a new way to recycle things! Love your journal! Well done, Father and Son!!!! ~tina
Well what an AWSOME DAD!!! and such a cute kiddlet! Not many men out there who will do these kinds of things! your a rare find!. Keep up with the awsome ideas!
What a terrific idea! Thanks so much for sharing this. For visual journalists I don't suppose the print on the brown paper matters much, as it can be painted or pasted over. I know what your friends means by not wanting to mess up a pristine "gift shop" type journal. I've never liked those either, except to admire from a distance.
"Is this difficult, Dad?" I love this video and I love this family!! Thanks for sharing such a cute idea! I am linking your video to Junk King Fairfax on Facebook to increase their recycling bang -- not to mention their good, old-fashioned family values!! :-)
That's Cute, I love the binding part... I do scrapbooking and I think I may alter your vision by adding decorative papers to cover up the cereal box and use Lunch bags to make it a mini..Thanks for posting.
Its great and easy already made my own. you know the scraps of papar bags could be used to cover up the words! That is what i did that way you use the whole bag!
Great project idea! I think I'm going to try substituting ribbon for the plastic bags and put fabric on the cover/paint the cover. Thanks for the pointers.
Wow! Great idea! Especially if you are an art teacher, which I am. I would def consider doing this in the classroom:-) Nice video taping too! Too cute!
I really enjoyed this. I enjoyed that your son/daughter did the filming and ad-libbing. And I'm going to try the journal. But I noticed a reinforced binding with the holes for the plastic bag strips, but you skipped over what you did there. Guess I will wing that part. I really like how the journal looks, though. I agree with your friend about writing in fancy blank books.
I will so make some of these for Christmas presents for my artsy friends!! These ROCK!!! Thanks for posting this. Your daughter did a great job recording it too.
my type of project, eclectic, unusual, unique, uncommon and my favorite...CHEAP! lol. Thanks for the how-to and awesome videographer you have there, better than half the vids I've seen lately I could actually see what you were doing! Nice job camerakid!
