@XD87337 its 64 BIT and memory, core and shader clocks are between 400 to 600mhz. if u know overclocking u may drag it upto 1000mhz but that needs enough cooling. so be careful and at ur own risk.

I tried this on my 7300SE/7200GS OC'd at 600MHz core and 1000MHz memory (DEFAULT 400MHz core 666MHz memory) and it ran at 1-5 FPS on the lowest setting possible at 600 x 400 resolution. LOL at my OLD budget card. Good Video BTW

he can't. There's no such thing as extreme graphics. Only very high. And trust me this isn't very high. I have an 8400 gs 512 and my system is quad core with 3gb of ram, brand new system with up to date drivers. And it only plays crysis on part low part medium. Which is what this looks to be at. Also take into account this will be lowest res possible.

The extra memory is used at higher resolutions, but with this card, it will use all the memory at 1024X768 and will make a huge difference at 1280X1024 on medium settings meaning, it might acually be playable and not a slide show like it would be on a 256MB card. If you can afford the extra $15 bucks, get the 8600GT 512MB from MSI which goes for $65 bucks on newegg- youll thank me after trust me!

Hey brotha- Ya the 8400 is not a gaming card as much as its a Multimedia card. Hell it even has some multimedia decoding chips that the highest end 8800GTX didn't even have. If you want to get a Crysis playing card save yourself some money and buy an 8800GT. Make sure its an overclocked edition or SuperClocked edition since those are hand picked chips that have been tested to run at much higher frequencies, meaning higher overclocking(which is a free upgrade). Im running mine at 750/1950/2200.

The 8200 motherboard graphics card would no be used at all if you were using an external gpu such as the 8400 or any plug in graphics card for that matter. Its not like you can use one gpu to "boost" another unless your using a technology called SLi or CrossFire, thats where you have a motherboard that is able to run 2 identical cards at the same time to increase frame rates. But in your case, onboard graphics cannot be coupled with an external graphics adapter.

I dont know how you managed to get graphics like that on a 8400gs, with me i get a max of 30fps with EVERYTHING on as low as it will go, resolution and everything. Maybe you have a better processor or summat. Will be upgrading to a much better card soon, the 8800gt
