i cant understand how people can just walk by and not even put a small coin in the man's violin case...i just cant understand how people can pay thousands to watch football matches and not be able to spare a coin for pure art
Bartok himself didn't compose pieces that were meant to be 'polished'. They were used as dances, so they were meant to be played in the gypsy style, raw and real. The piece is called Dances of Transylvania.
I thought it was great - sometimes people play a little fast when they are a little nervous of what others think. I'll bet this guy kicks in his bedroom!
I dunno anything about classical music but, were I there, I'd have stopped, unless I had to get to work. Then I would have ignored him and everything else beautiful along the way so I could punch my timecard and get my rabbit food.
good one...

It sounds like a strange version of Bartok's "Dances of Transylvania," but I'm not entirely sure.

Absolutely terrific! I concur that those people walking by must be either deaf or devoid of all emotion.
Wonderful, simply wonderful.

simply because it's beyond their understanding and believe me, most of them would say it is annoying... but I myself am finding it very exceptional

My pleasure.

he's great, but playing the piece much faster than he can handle on certain parts. tuning has to be polished too...
however, this is a scary (difficult) piece of music. some people don't have the balls to even take a quick glance at the score

There's something awesomely haunting about the way he plays this! I wish I'd been there.
