there was another korean guy who auditioned and made the first round but kicked off a while ago too. and from what i recall, he sounds similar too. korean guys tend to sound pop-singer-ish. not enough unique sound to make it in the states. but good for korean entertainment style. that's why john park got picked up in korea.

He is good. All the judges liked him throughout Hollywood week and then as soon as he got to the Top 24, I think he was trying a bit too hard. He took on big songs and did not change it up a lot, which the judges were looking for a lot this season. But lots of people liked him. I think everyone thought that all the Asians were going to vote for him anyway so they decided to vote for someone else.
