  • I'm up to the blinking screen and I still can't get it to work.

How do I get the game to come up??

  • what the heck is RCA??

  • @shawnaescala RCA connectors are composite video/audio cables which are normally red, white, and yellow. Yellow is the video and the red and white are the sound.

  • Anyone know if you can connect a NES with a RCA to SCART adapter?

  • @viperxeon umm I'm stumped. Not familiar with SCarts beyond AV equipment.

  • Got it thanks

  • @ken slog

  • So I can just get any old RCA and it'll work?

  • He meant well, but better lighting, less audible breathing (which btw sounded labored), and a clean & organized room / TV game area would have really impressed me. Again, thanks for the hookup tip, but the things mentioned earlier really brought this video down. Better luck / upload next time.

  • @fuck192ass Send it back to Microsoft. LOL

  • I have a black and red cable.... Dont know what to do

  • @kbrutal7 Not going to work. The Yellow is the key. You can even use yellow and white if you really want to.

  • @kenslog No, you can. It doesn't matter what colour the cables are, they just need to match to the appropriate input connector.

  • @kbrutal7

Your red and black cable will work.

I have one, too, for my NES.

Try inserting the red into the yellow and the black one into the red.

    That's how mine works.

    Hope this helps.

  • mine has a rca cable with 80.s cable conect to end of one end and rca red and yelow cabes to other how do i hook tht one up?

  • @MultiMasterjake Put the red and yellow in the side of the NES and then the s cable to the TV might work but I have never used that kind of cable.

  • @kenslog i fixed it i don't mes witht he nes becuase it half works

  • hey, i don't have a vcr player. can i just connect it to the tv like i do with my dvd player?

    sorry the bad english

  • my NES has a blinking red light how do u fix that?

  • @tbwf0620 I have made a few videos covering that. check my vids and you'll see them as I cannot send you a link here.

  • hm, i can't fnd the channel on my tv! ; (

  • @Adonis185 Channel 3 or AV?

  • @kenslog

not on my tv, but i tried it on my brothers tv . AV3 does it for me. = ) yeh,

  • HEY LAUNCH

  • thanks now i got it working i never noticed the rca port on the nes when i got it from my dad all i had was the cable thing and couldnt get it, so ty

  • Can you help me connect my family game to my modern TV? The family game has an audio, video and RF switch. I have the same cable you are showing on the video.

  • I tried using a cheap VGA converter which did NOT work with my NES and SNES. Some people have had luck running the RCA into another device (like a DVD player or VCR) and then from that into the VGA box. The signals from the older systems are not always compatible... Now excuse me while I look for a VCR with RCA inputs and outputs to check this out.

  • can you use the rca adptor on a tv as well?

  • @PikachuDude101 Please be more specific in what you are trying to do. All Modern TV's have an RCA input.

  • I need help please, i want to connect my nes to a monitor that has hdmi, dvi and vga.

My nes has rca cables. Can I use a cheap adapter and just connect the video to my screen or do I have to buy a converter? PLEASE HELP

  • @Jefri91 I am not schooled on this subject But I would assume if there is a converter it should work

  • @squidgibin Yep NES to VCR then VCR to TV hit record and start.

  • The fact that there are actually people out there that need instructions on how to do this is perplexing.

  • @newkillergenius I thought the same thing before I made this video. But I saw a crappy how to and made it better. The people who need this are people who are bad with or are scared of electronics. I mean everyone is bad at something. For instance I suck with woodworking. I have come to my senses and know I will never be a carpenter. Then you have the folks, they pretty much know the basic principle seeing just where and how really helps them.

  • @kenslog

While this is true, I would hope anyone this day in age unable to hook up an analog machine such as this would remain inside their home all day playing it, and not attempt other more challenging tasks, such as driving a vehicle or having a conversation. Liked your channel though, I tend to navigate toward just about anything pertaining to NES.

    Cheers

  • what about the white some people suggest to plug it into the back of the nes near the ac adapter? I can't get the screen to show up on the tv. also, the power light doesn't stay red? what am i doing wrong?

  • @fdsagmail Sorry I missed your comment I normally respond within a day or so. Leave the white out. NES does not have dual channels anyway. Your NES is old and may need to be cleaned or have the 72 Pin connector replaced. I have a video on how to replace the 72 pin. Or just try cleaning your NES games with a q-tip.

  • @kenslog Will a rca cable from vcr/dvd player work on a nes....not to mention any ac adapter too?

  • thanks so much! The NES brings back my childhood... again, thanks for taking your time with this... God bless!

  • @7RANDOM7 Awesome I am glad it helped

  • I GOT MY NES TO WORK BUT I CANT FIND THE CHANEL

  • @spanishace13 Please explain your problem a little more. Are you using the red and yellow? If so you need to put it on video 1 or input 1 something like that.

  • @kenslog I FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT BUT THANK YOU

  • @spanishace13 Great to hear. I hope you are kicking some goomba but now.

  • Good show

  • @SatanStew Thanks!!!! I always appreciate the support.

  • is the red and yellow seperate

  • @Venomtaker28 yes

  • At first i didnt know if it would help, i tried and nothing, but it was common problem that i needed to blow my cartridge, now it works. THANKS MAN!

  • thanks for this, me and my friend just got one and didnt know how to hook up!

  • so you don't even show if it works or not?? Dislike!

  • @drewdudy Yeah I did watch it again. The blinking! LOL

  • @kenslog thats a blue screen, why not just record a little bit longer and show least a game title screen

  • there are no red or yellow outputs on super nintendo?

  • @Jonatoan Nope just the Multi out and the RF Adapter.

  • i have the other kind of nes ut doesnt have that thingy in the back

  • @playstationisbest Do you mean the top loader?

    BTW PLAYSTATION IS THE BEST!!!!

  • @kenslog no i have a diffrent kind of nes and thx :)

  • @kenslog I got 7 NES games with it

  • @Sheldetin Awesome!

  • i got a nes from ebay for 49.99 and it included the RCA cables. I would be receiving it on Wednesday so yeah NOW I KNOW HOW TO HOOK IT UP! :D

  • @RetroVIogs AWESOME Hopefully you got SMB with it too.

  • @RetroVIogs you got ripped off

  • @Sheldetin RF Connector?

  • @NorwegianStudios Steal the one from your DVD player!

  • Will this only pump the signal out through on half of the speakers?

Or is it in full mono? Please help me, i am getting a nes in a week.

  • @TheMike894ftw Yep just half assuming you are hooking up to a stereo system.

  • thats how u kno u have a bad connector and a very shitty tv

  • Yellow = Video

Red And White = Different Side Speakers Audio

  • will the nintendo blink if all the cords arent pluged in?

  • @PerplexityStudios no.The blinking is because the cartridge is not in correctly or you haven't blown enough on it. LOL

  • I do this all the time with my ps2. Never did it with an nes but I figured you could probably do this

  • who ever didn't know how to do this must be retarted!

  • thanks man it works now this was very usefull :)

  • is there an alternative way to power a nes?

  • @sportchick923 It has to be 9 volt and between 300 1000 amps AC adapter. Also has to have the right female end. Easy to find at goodwill.

  • My tv only has yellow and white inputs. Does that mean I have to plug a vcr into it and the NES into the vcr?

  • @drumkeys no just use the yellow and white

  • so basically you can hook up your NES with any kind of those colored cables? do they have to be the ones that it came with? because i lost it.

  • Any RCA cables will work

  • @TheEmericaboy187 any RCA cables will work

  • @kenslog oh, i got it hooked up already, thank you for the help though...

  • thank you a lot 4 this vid!!! I had a lot of problems because the original connector that comes with the NES is so strange that it doesn't fit in my TV ( and i'ts an old TV), but then i saw what you've shown to us and now i can play Super Mario bros!!!! THANK U!!!

  • i allway,s used the rf cable back in the 90,s but since 2000 i use the a.v cable to pump the nes back into the digital revolution gto be millennium proof ahaha

  • thank you!

  • you're welcome!

  • i love you
