I agree with the "haters." Crash Love is fine, but if you defend that as equal to their more hardcore/horrorcore stuff, you're probably 15 years old. You cycle in CL with the Ting Tings, Metric, The Killers and all that other lame-ass post-punk fem shit (again, CL is fine, just not AFI). Total Immortal would melt the painted-on hipster pants off you, allowing you to grow a set.

AFI of a decade ago was some mind-blowingly refreshing, rocking shit. Crash Love is something my mom wouldn't mind.

@kyucklebeans I think CL is one of AFI's best albums and I'd take it over their hardcore punk stuff any day.  Also, try listening to The Faceless if you want something that'll grow you a pair.

i love old afi like this. sure its a damn shame they dont make this kind of music anymore but at least they still play quite a bit of this, i saw them two years ago and they even played songs from thier first album
