  • Hi can you please tell me are you actually driving with keyboard

  • I got a question does anybody know the specific name of a website where I could learn Xsi softimage? I got a 2010 version and I don't see anything for it.

  • @Echosphere88

You can go to XSIbase or cgtalk.

Good luck learning this program, best program ever!

  • @monkeyjet thank you

  • @monkeyjet are you driving with keyboard

  • good vid, and whats the song btw?

  • how do you calculate the friction forces?

and do you use lifelike parameters? etc car mass 1200kg

    and suspension parameters?

    sorry for my bad english

  • im made a mustange buuut i cant make it move ro make it in a game ;[

  • How long did this take to make?

  • i'v seen that sim car be4! btw you can link the car's parameter controls to the i/o system (device manager) in Xsi so u can do the simulation using gamepad or a steering wheel! inside Xsi ^_^ that will be fun

  • im going to get this program. It is a cheap one that is $300.

  • Did you buy that yet cause if you have CSS HL2 or any source game you can get that free

  • Very nice man, you'r talented.

  • thats better...^^

    i like SI better :D

  • fr3nzylogic is right, SI is getting better, and I can perform better using softimage than maya.

I bet maya+Idavoll comes no where close to softimage+me.

  • wow, you are a modeling pro, ever worked for some mods?

  • Thank you!

    I'd love to!

I tried making cars for Project Gotham Racing3(xbox360), but it was really hard I remember. I'm good at high rez(sub-d) modeling

    than low polys.

Let me know whenever you have new project!

  • ok, but i need human ^^

  • That reminds me of a recently introduced workflow in Blender. First you can make a highpoly model, by using subdivision modelling, volumetric painting, etc, then you can draw the lowpoly model right on its surface with the retopo tool. Finally, you can set up neutral lighting and bake the highpoly model to the lowpoly as a texture, and probably as normalmap too.

  • And yet you again, posting the same crap. It's not better. It's different. It has different strengths and weaknesses. Softimage is much more artist friendly if you ask me. I prefer Softimage, and it's only a matter of personal likings and needs. Softimage XSI is a relatively new 3d package, which is gaining its popularity as we speak. No need to be so close minded. I bet you didn't take the time to look into Softimage's features.

  • Cool yo!!!

  • Good Job though!keep it up!^^

  • add more skid marks!...the front wheel didnt go well..the car seem so light

  • you are right about the weight, it was too light.

I fixed it now, and you can see in my new video.

    Thank you

  • eh d+ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
