I bought mine today. It does more than amplify. The technology is "voiced" somehow to coax very natural sound even from mediocre pickups. Played it with an old Ovation, and used just the piezo in my Gibson, both of which normally sound "plastic-y". Over the lunchbox, you get a nice, woody, warm, natural feeling sound. Extension cab makes it gig-worthy! Replaced that ugly plastic grip with a Fender-type leather handle. Gorgeous.
Thanks. Feedback is a big factor, and was considering PA systems like Fishman and Bose. Too big. The size is very special and intimate, like a friend. Can you give some idea of the range of positioning at around 5 out of 10 on volume using sensitive mics? How does the phase-feedback adjustment work. Also, as a mono vocal guitar amp is the angle range sufficient to saturate the room?
Ms. Gayla, let me depart from commenting on the dynamite little amp to tell you that your guitar playing is out of this world.
The amp is great and so are you, Ma'am. You must be accustomed to dealing with crushed male egos desperately reaching for something to criticize, such as, "I didn't like your set list/guitar tone/nail polish" etc.,. Especially because you didn't (and probably never do) apologize for not "playing like a girl."
Also, did you folks try it with a mic plugged in as well? I was curious whether the output on the guitar came down a bit with a vocal mic plugged in...
Guitar and amp sound great, hate to bother you with the age-old question of what tuning it's in. It sounds like DADGAD or Open Dmaj. I could be wrong, though.
Very nice playing Gayla and good review as well....
