Endurance and Devil Trigger.Devil Trigger cloud might be able to keep at bay with mako infused techniques thought it'll be risky. Endurance however Dante can survive some pretty serious wounds while cloud is still human interms of damage.

Okay, now that I know a little bit about Cloud, I can say I'm not too sure who would win. They seem pretty even in terms of fighting skill and speed, though I think Cloud may be faster overall. Dante has an advantage in that he can take normally fatal attacks as if they were nothing (such a s blade to the heart), while I don't think cloud could. Then in terms of power, Dante has a bunch of demon powers and weapons, and it looks like Cloud has many powerful weapons too. I'm not sure who wins.
Mmm... This is a hard call to make, but since I side with Dante so often I'll squat in the Cloud camp. Anything Dante can do, Cloud can do better with materia, and anything that Cloud can do with materia, he can infinitely multiply and repeat until he chooses to stop. For example, W-Summon a Quad-Magic junctioned Knights of the Round and all of a sudden Dante has 104 immortal warriors commanding the various natural elements as well as those of time and space to contend with.
Of what exactly? If you want a video, just look through any battle against Emerald or Ruby Weapon. It's one of the most commonly used combos. Quad Magic allows you to use any materia crystal four times per casting, and W-____ allows you to cast two magics, summons, or use two items simultaneously. Mime allows you to repeat the previous action taken for no mp cost, so if you W-Summon two Knights of the Round crystals, with Quad Summon, that's 8x13 (=104 warriors) x infinity with Mime.
Well Cloud does have magic like ultima ect, if he's fast enough he could block the bullets with his sword. This is tough decision but i'm gonna go with Dante he's more durable then Cloud, he's had swords threw his chest and bullets in his head while Cloud gets badly injured if he gets a sword threw his sholder. Dante regenerates from most attacks.

well,to say the least dante most of the time he holds back,have you watched the cutscene where he fights nero? nero is pretty strong I'd have to say but dante held back in their 1st fight but in the 2nd fight when dante fought seriously nero wasnt much of a problem to him.
Why would they fight in the first place? Both have style and crazy large swords. If anything, I could see them going off and getting drunk together.

Important to note is one of the less spoken materia combos. When junctioned to any other materia crystal, "Final Attack" allows the user to perform any action free of MP or any other cost as they die. In Cloud's case, this could be anything from Ultima, to take Dante out with him, to Life2, instantly and fully reviving and restoring him, all the way to Quad-Magic Phoenix, summoning four legendary fire birds that will revive Cloud then battle Dante on Cloud's behalf. O.o

i was thanking that...ok dante has healing powers but cloud has that big ass blade of his....if cloud cuts dante body in half.....can dante even heal from that?

Well, Vergil got cut in half with Rebellion, and if Vergil survived Dante could[Capcom: "Identical Faces, Identical Powers"]. If i'm not mistaken, it depends on how big the sword is. In the magna[which is non-canon], Nelo-Angelo did some serious damage, and Trish had to heal him.

Okay, now that I know a little bit about Cloud, I can say I'm not too sure who would win. They seem pretty even in terms of fighting skill and speed, though I think Cloud may be faster overall. Dante has an advantage in that he can take normally fatal attacks as if they were nothing (such a s blade to the heart), while I don't think cloud could. Then in terms of power, Dante has a bunch of demon powers and weapons, and it looks like Cloud has many powerful weapons too. I'm not sure who wins.

Mmm... This is a hard call to make, but since I side with Dante so often I'll squat in the Cloud camp. Anything Dante can do, Cloud can do better with materia, and anything that Cloud can do with materia, he can infinitely multiply and repeat until he chooses to stop. For example, W-Summon a Quad-Magic junctioned Knights of the Round and all of a sudden Dante has 104 immortal warriors commanding the various natural elements as well as those of time and space to contend with.

Of what exactly? If you want a video, just look through any battle against Emerald or Ruby Weapon. It's one of the most commonly used combos. Quad Magic allows you to use any materia crystal four times per casting, and W-____ allows you to cast two magics, summons, or use two items simultaneously. Mime allows you to repeat the previous action taken for no mp cost, so if you W-Summon two Knights of the Round crystals, with Quad Summon, that's 8x13 (=104 warriors) x infinity with Mime.

Well Cloud does have magic like ultima ect, if he's fast enough he could block the bullets with his sword. This is tough decision but i'm gonna go with Dante he's more durable then Cloud, he's had swords threw his chest and bullets in his head while Cloud gets badly injured if he gets a sword threw his sholder. Dante regenerates from most attacks.

well,to say the least dante most of the time he holds back,have you watched the cutscene where he fights nero? nero is pretty strong I'd have to say but dante held back in their 1st fight but in the 2nd fight when dante fought seriously nero wasnt much of a problem to him.
